The main thing that the whole world learned from the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil:

FIFA made a huge mistake in allowing Brazil to host a World Cup. The country has clearly shown that it doesn't have the money to spend on a silly sporting event.

Brazil can't provide half-decent travel, healthcare and education, but it wants to entertain the world....that makes me laugh.

South Africa was the same situation. It would appear that the FIFA doesn't give a shit about whether or not a country can provide half-decent travel, healthcare and education as long as they're willing to pay. Which is not that weird seeing that the FIFA is a company looking to make profit and not an organization trying to better the world.

The supposed corruption involved in selecting the host nations and everything else surrounding FIFA is ofcourse a different story, but that aside.

I think this was a success, sure it has a few kinks to iron out like points allocation etc. Maybe in the future we can add in more than just goals+assists
