CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiying Thread

It's nice to see Canada score. Though I thought that they attacked too much and had some defensive lapses. They can't afford to do that against better teams. Well hope Canada makes it to the World Cup

CONCACAF and COMEBOL should unite and create one conference and do the group system just like in Europe and Africa, that's the only way that the teams in this region will get better, playing the likes of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay etc...

I wouldn't call it a great match. It could've been 10-0 if we finished the chances we had. The good thing is we actually have some offense now in the team with Pesch, Radz, etc.

Why? Canada doesn't make it either way so...

I've always wondered why does MLS still keep on playing when the NT is playing? In the case of some teams many players aren't there and they end up getting beat etc...

probably, speaking of which... Pumas are the new Mexican league champions. (Y) First time since the 90-91 season for them.

But do we really need all our best players vs Dominica? :D

You never know now, concacaf is crazy this year.

Yea, i think MLS should stop during internationals. Puts too much of a strain on teams. Kansas City had a full team when others were missing huge players.

And I hate their schedule it's so f*cked up I mean you have some teams that have played 12 games and then you have some that have played 9 games :rolleyes:, it probably has to do with the fact that they play what 30 games when there's only ten teams in the league :rolleyes: that's just stupid, why cant they just have one league table and the top 4 make it out of the ten then they have a bracket similar to CL or UEFA Cup, that would certainly spice up every match because 8 teams out of 10 making the playoffs is just pathetic :nape:.

I'm sure everyone here has seen Cool Runnings. :D Well, remember that part where they start singing their song after having gathered all the money? The one that goes "Jamaica we have a bobsled team..."

Well... Dominica, whos already in San Antonio getting ready to receive their $300,000 ass whoopin (They're getting paid that much by some company to play in SA), started singing a song similar to the one in Cool Runnings. Same beat and talking about Mexico "better watch out" and "they better respect [some players name]". And this was followed by the Mexican reporter saying "Lets hope they play better than they sing". :rofl: :mexican:

damn I'm good. (H)

Dominica vs Mexico 0-10 FT (H)

well, what can I say about Dominica? It wasnt ever going to be close. :D They have no league, most of them have real jobs and soccer is just like a hobby. (I say most cuz they said one was unemployed :p) It could've easily been about 6 more goals at least, but Mexico looked like they were at a training session. Arellano and Davino (both got a yellow card) wanted to get a 2nd yellow so they could miss the next game and that way start the group stage with 0 yellows.

And now what I'm looking forward to is the next group stage. Mexico's three group opponents are more than likely going to be T&T, St Kitts & Nevis, and St Vincent. :D I smell lots of goals in the group stage too. :D Some of Dominica's players started getting a little dirty towards the end, I hope they dont continue that in the 2nd unnecessary leg. I'm just surprised there werent more scores like this one...like with the US. It had been a while since I had seen one of these matches, no anguish, close to zero attacking by the opponent, lots of attacking by Mexico and a double digit score. :D

For the 2nd leg I'd like to see those that either came in for the 2nd half or didnt play get a chance to start, like Muñoz in goal, Mendez, Arellano, Morales, Osorno and Lozano.

Grenada v USA is today, it's on ESPN2 for everyone in the US.

I hope we win by as many as Mexico did. Why did Dominica even play? One of their players didn't even have a job, he should be looking for work, not playing in San Antonio.

anyway, my US team.

Code:
====================Keller===================
Cherundolo===Mastroeni===Bocanegra===Convey
Donovan=======Armas========Renya=====Beasley
==============Wolff====McBride=============

new team:
GOALKEEPERS (2): Kasey Keller (Tottenham Hotspur), Jonny Walker (MetroStars)
DEFENDERS (7): Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham FC), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Bobby Convey (D.C. United), Cory Gibbs (Dallas Burn), Frankie Hejduk (Columbus Crew), Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado Rapids), Greg Vanney (FC Bastia)
MIDFIELDERS (6): Chris Armas (Chicago Fire), DaMarcus Beasley (Chicago Fire), Landon Donovan (San Jose Earthquakes), Claudio Reyna (Manchester City), Earnie Stewart (D.C. United), Kerry Zavagnin (Kansas City Wizards)
FORWARDS (3): Jovan Kirovski (Los Angeles Galaxy), Brian McBride (Fulham FC), Josh Wolff (Kansas City Wizards)

I think Grenada kept the same guys, probley their only team.

10-0 What a slaughter! They were already asking if they should show up for the next leg (DOMINICA):crazyboy: . But if I was from Dominica hek yeah I would play the next leg. For sure I will make money at least for the rest of the year with the money I made on both games:rockman: As far as the next team Mex is going to take Im pretty sure Lavolpe will take the SUB-23 team (Olympic Squad) or younger players! SWEET! We have A B and C Squads!!!
