Hello, SG community!!!

Here is the exciting first Argentina season after coronating as World Cup champions. It will come to an end next week when the TRFA 23/24 ends and we'll know which teams promote to the Federal A 2024. This time, I wanted to concentrate in season mode and get it to work no matter how bizarre the argentinian league system is. I'd say results are quite successful, at least 3 seasons can be played unscathed, with promotions and relegations, qualifications to continental and national cups such as Copa Argentina and respecting (in most cases) the real world format of each competition when it comes to tie-break rules and brackets.

Also, several graphic improvements have been made. Several new faces, original balls, specific 3d wipes for every competition, kits, trophies and of course, new, remodeled and improved stadiums,

It will be no doubt the most enjoyable version of this series so far

Fixes:
- Career mode works for every argentinian and south american league for at least three seasons (in some cases even more)
- Other confederations 'semi-fantasy' leagues work for several seasons as well, except for CONCACAF (it will crash at the end of the season, sorry)
- I usually liked to put my personal choice of kits, but given so many people complained about it, kits for Primera Division and other teams have been updated
- Primera Division, Copa Libertadores and FIFA Club World Cup allow for 5 substitutions as in today's real game. The rest of the leagues allow only 3 subs and in some cases only 5 players on bench to avoid not having enough players at some point in the competition

Known Bugs:
- For some reason, when a player during the game is cautioned, at the match highlights menu, instead of naming it "yellow card" it states "undefined" The card is counted in the league/tournament records anyway
- DO NOT go to the transfer tab in season mode. The game will crash. The reason you need to avoid that tab is because transfers have been disabled to preserve the actual line-ups as much as possible
- If you do not use stadium server, for continental cup games, try avoiding playing at times later than 5pm, since we have still not found a fix to the annoying night shades bug in FIFA 16. All argentinian Primera Division and Nacional B stadiums work normally at night, same for Maracana and other international stadiums.

Adjustments:
- Some competition format adjustments had to be made to get the crazy argentinian promotion-relegation system to work. They will be outlined below at each division's paragraph
- All the other south american leagues except for Colombia, contain 22 teams, even though most have less than that in the real world. The reason is that with that number of teams is that career mode works throughout the seasons. Colombia has 20 teams in 1st division and season mode works fine.
- For the same reason. all the other confederations except for Oceania also contain 22 teams, including all the teams that contested the continental cups of each confederation in their final stages. AFC (round of 16), CONCACAF (quarter finals), CAF (quarter finals), UEFA (Round of 16), OFC (Semifinals). CONCACAF, AFC Far East, CAF and UEFA have a fantasy 2nd division. These leagues will qualify to the continental cups and FIFA Club WC of the following seasons. OFC has 16 teams
- Every team that has qualified to a South American continental cup (Recopa, Libertadores, Sudamericana) has its roster updated to 2023. Most UEFA teams, Saudi Arabia and CAF teams have been updated as well

Primera Division:
- All 28 teams of the 2023 season, with updated rosters, kits, many real faces, real stadiums (including updated version with new stands of Colon's Brigadier Lopez, Union's 15 de Abril and River Plate's Mas Monumental)
- Copa de la Liga Profesional with real schedule. It was put at the beginning of the season instead of at the end to avoid crashes.
- League
- A Relegation play-off was created to have one team going to Nacional B Zona A and the other one to Zona B. The team in the 28th place plays against the team in the 27th place (loser relegates to Zone A) and the winner of that game plays against team in the 26th place (loser relegates to Nacional B zone B)
- Winner of the league and winner of the Copa de la Liga play the Trofeo de la LPF
- 11 best placed teams of the league + winner of Copa Argentina qualify to the continental cups

Nacional B:
- Divided in two separate leagues. Zona A (19 teams, all with updated rosters) and Zona B (18 teams, all with updated rosters). Updated stadium Ferro CO's Arquitecto Etcheverri. Winners of each league play final at Mario Alberto Kempes. Loser of that final + other 15 teams play the tournament of the 2nd promotion with tie-break advantage in each leg for the best placed team in the league stage except for the final to be played at Alta Cordoba)
- Zona A last team relegates to Federal A Norte, Zone B last team relegates to Primera B Metro. Originally there was a third relegation, but the FA incredibly suspended it when the season was already half way through!! However, I decided to keep that relegation to feed the Federal A Sur. Here is where things go a bit bizarre, Teams from the metropolitan region could end up in Federal A, and teams from the country side could end up in Primera B Metro. Sorry, no way to fix that yet

Primera B Metro:
- All 17 teams with updated rosters. 16 stadiums with minor fixes to each. The real world format is Apertura/Clausura, but I used the 2 round league system since the promotion depends on the overall season table. 1st and 2nd place teams play a two leg final to determine the promotion. Loser of that final + other 6 teams play to qualify to the promotion play-off with Federal A 2nd team.
- Originally there was only one relegation for this division, but since there were 6 promotions from Primera C, i decided to make 6 teams relegate to keep the seasons working. Make sure you play well this difficult league, he

Federal A:
- Divided in 4 separate zones of 9 teams, all with updated rosters. New stadiums include Germinal's Fortin de Rawson, Sportivo y Biblioteca Atenas's 9 de Julio, San Martin (Mendoza)'s Libertador General San Martin and 9 de Julio's German Solterman. Several stadiums have undergone minor fixes
- In order to make this league work in career mode with its real format, I had to create a one round "fake" league at the beginning of the season. This league acts as a mere placeholder, you can just skip it to start with the real format. 4 zones of 9 teams, best 4 of each qualify to the final tournament where each leg has tie-breaking advantage for the best placed team during regular league/zone season except for the final which is played at the Juan Gilberto Funes stadium. Winner of the final promotes to Nacional B, loser playes against Primera B Metro "Reducido" Tournament for another promotion at the Ciudad de Vicente Lopez stadium
- Last team of zona A plays a relegation play-off against last team of zona C at La Perrera stadium, and last team of zona B plays a relegation play-off against last team of zona D at Arturo Miranda stadium. Losers go to Regional Amateur

Primera C:
- All 19 teams with updated rosters. 19 stadiums with minor fixes each. Same as it happen with Primera B Metro, the real world Apertura-Clausura format had to be replaced by a 2 round league. Best three placed teams promote directly to Primera B Metro, Teams from 4th to 11th place play a tournament for the remaining three promotions. Unlike the original format, teams that advance from semi-finals automatically promote, and the "third place" game between semi-final losers becomes the final promotion play-off.
- Since Primera D cease to exist in 2024, there were no effective relegations. Still, to make things work in career mode, I decided to make them count and the two worst placed teams in league stage go down to the now extinct Primera D

Primera D:
- All 11 teams with updated rosters. 8 stadiums. (Four teams in this league do not own a stadium) Original format. 1st tournament is only one round and qualifies the winner to next season's Copa Argentina. 2nd tournament of two rounds coronates a champion that will promote along with the 2nd placed directly to Primera C. In reality, all 11 teams promoted to Primera C since this league has been scrapped, but I kept it alive to make season mode work.

Copa Argentina:
- All 64 Copa Argentina 2023 teams with the original format. New Stadiums, Unico de San Nicolas and Carlos Augusto Mercado Luna (La Rioja), plus all the other neutral stadiums used at the tournament. Winner qualifies to next season's Copa Libertadores
- Mario Alberto Kempes
- Bicentenario de la Ciudad de Catamarca
- San Juan del Bicentenario
- Madre de Ciudades
- Unico de La Plata
- Carlos Augusto Mercado Luna
- Jose Antonio Romero Feris
- Clemente Fernandez de Oliveira

Installation:
- Download data and dlc from the links below
- Unzip
- Sign out from EA app
- Replace data and dlc folders in your FIFA 16 game folder with the downloaded folders (I recommend backing up the original folders)
- Regenerate with your prefered tool (CM16/FM16, etc) It may need a couple of launches and regenerations to load all the graphics and names
- Remember to select english as language when launching the game
- Enjoy!

If you encounter any problems trying to unzip the large data file, try with PeaZip, the best compression app I've found for Windows.

No, you can discard the last version (or back it up if you prefer). Just copy-paste/replace both folders to your game folder and regenerate.

Cheers!

Has anyone else of the over 70 users that have already dowloaded this file have any issues? Let me know.

I checked it in two different computers and it works fine. It is a very large file, it may take over an hour to decompress (depending on what app you use)

Some file in the data folder is corrupt and the patch is not installing correctly

Ok. It may be the application you are using to decompress the file. I use PeaZip and it works fine, but I tried using winrar and it gave me a weird message.

If you are having problems, try with this application:
The extraction went without problems, but when opening the patch the blue screen does not come out after choosing the profile

Did you paste it on a different patch or do you have a clean FIFA? Did you regenerate? It may happen that the stadium assigned to the team in your profile does not work as background screen. I’d reinstall the original game from the app, choose Argentina NT as profile team then paste the files on there, See if that works

Also, database language is english, so make sure you select that language when you launch the game

Another question, do I play night matches in friendly mode?

Not sure. I never play friendlies, ha

Argentinian Primera Division and Nacional B work at night. All the other teams wont unless you assign them to play at an argentinian primera division or nacional b stadium. Some fantasy stadiums and european stadiums work at night. I believe arena corinthians and maracana have night shades as well.

I’d suggest to get stadium server to be able to play at night in any of the 300+ stadiums available in the patch.

Colgado, can you make your FIFA 16 folder available in the documents? Unable to open the patch at all

What is it exactly? The game doesn't open?

I dont have enough space available in mediafire to upload my entire FIFA game folder. Did you try copying the data folder to a clean FIFA 16 downloaded from the EA app? Does the patch show up in dbMaster or CM16? Did you replace the data folder or did you just "merge" it? I'd suggest to erase or rename the original data folder and then copy the patch data, just to make sure. And then regenerate, of course.
