I have this problem I just cannot seem to solve. When I add a player in CM16, the "Common Name" tab doesn't seem to work, and ingame the name displayed is the first name plus the common name. Is there any way to fix this?

There is an option to expand the database. Could it work?I think your names table are full. So any new names wont appear. Delete some unused players or change some names of players to common name, this will open spaces on your table.
And is it safe to click "Expand Database" in CM 16? It won't ruin anything?Normally the limit is 28999 but the extended xml file can handle 37XXX (I don't remember exactly)
I have DB Master 15. Maybe I will try it. But I'm probably just going to overwrite existing players to create new ones.I have never done this with CM. There is definitely some risk of confusing the data. Whenever you do some risky operations, make a backup of the db folder. I used DBMaster for this purpose, but generally I don't use the extended database. I don't remember exactly, but I think @tokke001 fixed something with DBMaster 11 and this version of the program extends the database to even more entries that work properly.
I am actually doing my edits on your International Tournaments patch. I have decided to add some players.send me your db folder.
Thanks, but it doesn't do a thing. I don't have any playernames entries that are higher than 29000.I read this somewhere... might be helpful...
Due to the large number of players in the patch, the playernames table is completely filled and excess entries are in the dcplayernames table. This means if you add new players or edit player names, the names may be missing in-game. This can be resolved by copying all entries from the playernames table with IDs of 29000 and higher to the dcplayernames table.
Sorry. I was busy, and I forgot. Here is the db I am working with: https://drive.google.com/file/d/174RJx8z-Aov5iSYmT4BJSQVnm6U7AH99/view?usp=sharingI repeat once again. Send me your db folder.
Well, as I said, the database is from the International Tournaments patch by RobbieD_PL. I'm just playing around with it, updating squads. I guess all players have the correct names, so maybe just deleting unnecessary players would do the trick? Or do you actually need to move name IDs back and fill the empty slots? You have definitely exceeded the limits because the last entry in playernames is 28,999, and all entries that are higher are written from 0 and above. I can recalculate everything for you and remove incorrect entries, which will make room for more, but I do not know if all the players have the correct names.
