If I ain't mistaken Colombia was due to hold '86 WC, but failed at the eleventh hour due to economical havoc?

Talks are that 2014 will be on South America. Brazil are the main contenders, however with such an organized FA / government we'll have trouble on getting everything ready 'till there; not to menton we do not have a truly modern stadium with decent capacity, and no concrete plans of extensive rejuvenation of major venues were seen up to now.

So we have competition now...at least pretty much evreyone else in SA is likely to have the same kind of trouble.

I'd love a well-organized WC here...if that's even possible :(

If 2014 is to be held in Brazil, we'd need at least 5 completely new stadia, plus major investments in making the current stadia good enough. Not to mention security, public transport....

Mexico is in North America. And I was going by the previous post, where he said Colombia was supposed to hold '86 WC and it was given to Mexico. So I thought if Colombia couldn't, then Mexico could get to host. ;)

No I don't mean the tournaments themselves (like the quality of play) it's just I like it better when one nation hosts it instead of two.
