If Mizzouri goes to the Big-10, the PAC-10 and Big-XII may consider expanding....TCU/Houston/Boise State would be candidates for the Big-XII while Fresno State/Utah/BYU would be candidates for the PAC-10.

I hate all SEC teams so I'll cheering for Texas.

Halftime 24-6, Alabama. McCoy out. His injury has taken away that sense of excitement from the showpiece event. The Texas defense has lost belief in its cause. And the offense can't do sh*t.

I may watch the second half, but I won't be watching the 4th quarter......

24-13 Texas scores, recovers onside kick and then....

.....TWO, not one but TWO, defensive pass interference calls ARE NOT CALLED....on Alabama...that would have put the ball deep in Alamaba territory. First on some defender covering Jordan Shipley and the 2nd on the same guy covering Malcom Williams...both down the left sideline.

What a huge non-drive that turned out to be. Horrendous officiating......really, that's just unacceptable!

Alabama has lucked their way through the regular season and they'll luck their way to a national title.

The refs have helped them a LOT, over the past 3 months, and, in the span of 2 minutes, may have killed off a possible Texas comeback.

**** Alabama. They got schooled in the second half by a True Freshman. If McCoy wouldn't have been a pussy, UT would've dominated them. Oh, what could have been.

The silver living is that Gilbert looked very good once he calmed down and got a rhythm. Poised.

Well, I ended up watching the whole game. All I can say is with a healthy Colt McCoy, Texas would have won this game.

Alabama's vaunted rush offense??? Held to nothing in the 2nd half......nothing.....while Texas was coming back.

Now, ignore the last TD of the game.....late in the 1st half, Gilbert threw an INT. Late in the 2nd half, he lost a fumble. Both resulted in Alabama TDs. If Colt was in, neither would have happened....nor the last TD. Take 20 points off the board and Texas would have been leading heading into that drive starting with around 3 minutes to go in the 4th Q....from deep in their own end. Now, if they were leading, there is no way Mack Brown would have been throwing the ball....they would have run a few more plays, running, played some defense...remember if would have been a 4 point game and Alabama would have taken over(assuming Texas punted) at around their own 40, needing a TD with around 2:30 to go. Their game wining drives against Auburn and Florida took longer than that. Texas would have held them off and won the game.

With a healthy Colt McCoy, Texas would have won this game.

I was not impressed with Alabama.

When Colt went out I was extremely pissed off, because I hate these bull**** built-in excuses. I knew that I'd have to listen to Texas homers bull**** for years that they would have won with Colt. Well you know what? Just take the ******* loss. Jesus Christ. All I can say is that Brett Favre would have played. Vince Young would have played. You think one of those guys puts a head set on? Bull****; they get shot up with cortisone and run back to the field for the second quarter. Michael Jordan misses that game? No. Colt couldn't play through his injury, and in the end, toughness is just as important a quality for a football player as anything else. And McCoy doesn't have it. Mark Ingram looked really ******* injured, and he came back at the end to put the game out of reach.

I actually agree with you. I don't buy the whole 'My arm's dead. I tried my hardest to go back out there while I'm holding back tears' post game interview. It was evident that he was shutting it down when his dad came in the locker room. He most likely told him tha he should save himself for the draft workouts. It's very telling of what type of pro he will be, though.

As I said, though. I was very impressed with Gilbert and the team as a whole for making the comeback. UT will be dangerous next year and maybe a contender again as soon as 2012.

I'm getting hammered on another board for this, but even with a noodly dead arm I don't think Favre, VY, Tebow, etc shut it down and put on a head set. No way.

Didn't Favre play against Tampa with broken throwing fingers?

Ingram was struggling bad but he kept pounding.

Favre has played with ridiculous injuries. He routinely played games with broken ribs and a separated shoulder on his throwing arm. He had a torn bicep tendon last year on his throwing arm for like 7 games. They couldn't find anything wrong with poor Colt in his x-ray.

I must admit, the whole Lane Kiffin thing has really shocked me. I absolutely did NOT see that coming. The names being throw around were Billick, Harbaugh, Sarkisian, Carlos Del Rio, Jon Gruden, .....but Lane Kiffin was nowhere on the radar. National signing day is less than a month away, dammnit!!! Real stunner.

The folks in Knoxville are U-P-S-E-T!!!

How do you spell Lane Kiffin --> B-E-T-R-A-Y-A-L.

Tennessee Athletic Director to Lane Kiffin.....eleventh hour attempt to keep him: "This is the most competitive conference in America and I thought you were a competitive guy."

Will Mischamps, a former SEC(Auburn) guy, is reportedly a "strong" candidate.

Apparently, he's telling recruits NOT to go to class in Knoxville but instead to transfer and to go with him to the west coast.

His son's name is Knox......soon to be changed to Troy.

Question: So USC, how have you changed, in terms of violations, since the Reggie Bush scandal?
Answer: Well, we've gone out there and brought in a guy who knows the periodic table better than he knows the rule book. We've brought in a secondary violation. But he's promised to change. Now please let us off the hook.....pretty please.

Kiffin offered a scholarship to a 13-year-old. I am not kidding.

I'm starting to think this man is clinically insane. Though looking at Monte, it really wouldn't come as a shock would it?

I'm still hoping that whoever reported this first got it from The Onion.

Bobby Knight once recruited a 14-year-old, at Indiana.

At that age, do you really know FOR SURE which sport you prefer? I doubt it. And you wold most likely be playing multiple sports at that age.
