What's up guys. UNC looks down this year, so maybe we won't see much of Slayer (H)

Wisconsin beat down the Terps for Third Place in Maui. I'm a little encouraged by our team this year, a lot more optimistic than I was before Maui.

didn't see much of me last year either, when we won the whole thing... but anyway....our backcourt has a **** load to replace....i'm not expecting anything more than a sweet 16 this season...if that. still a good season though and enough to build on next season when hbk (the heartbreak kid, aka Harrison BARNES) comes to town along with some backcourt reinforcements. this year however kansas is easily the favorite...kentucky is young so i don't expect them to challenge but they could be very good by the end of the year. dook surprisingly has some bigs that can ballout for the first time since sheldon williams so they should take the acc. that backcourt is so thin though, if one guy out of scheyer, smith or that new freshmen gets injured and they are done. my pick would be kansas or msu.

Yeah, good analysis. At this point, I just don't really see a team that's good enough to win the National Title. I guess Kansas is, but man, I just don't like anyone. I suppose if John Wall gets it going, UK could be good enough, but that never happens.

Nice get on Harrison Barnes, but can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a little tour of the Triangle and tell Roy and K to stop recruiting JP Tokoto? 2012 recruit out of Menominee Falls, Wisconsin. Top 5 in his class. He could save Wisconsin basketball the same way Brandon Jennings is saving the Milwaukee Bucks. We really need him. Doesn't look like we have a shot though, with all the big boys involved. Roy, K, Self, Huggins, and the rest are all making like weekly trips out there.

you gotta stop playing that slow ass big ten ball, then maybe the recruits will come. half the success that roy and k have in recruiting is their willingness to play fast...then you throw in mj, grant hill or what not and its 95% locked up. tokoto though, looks like a stud. i don't recall carolina getting too many wisconsin kids but roy has quite the midwest pipeline from his days at ku.

It's because Wisconsin high school basketball has been a joke as far back as I can recall, but when the Badgers went to the Final Four in 2000 (when Tokoto and kids in his class were like 6) something changed. We have really strong HS basketball now and are starting to produce some really good players. Tokoto and Vander Blue are without a doubt the two highest profile guards the state has ever produced coming out of high school.

Last guy from Wisconsin you got, and he might have been the only one ever, was Joe Wolf. Graduated in 87 from UNC and was the #13 pick in the NBA Draft. I'm shocked he didn't go to Wisconsin, I can't imagine how Dean Smith heard of him up there in Kohler, Wisconsin before the internet, the shoe camps, and all the hardcore AAU stuff.

DUCK FOOK!!!

I know you love me more than you ever have right now, Slayer! I know those fags were ducking us for the last 7 years, and now it's confirmed. No wonder they didn't want to come to Wisco!

They never play out of conference road games for a reason! K needs to pad his win total, lol. Damn good win, Hughes was a baller last night! I think that Tokoto kid was in attendance, if so...that's good news for Wisconsin and bad news for dook. Congrats to the Big Ten though, finally making this challenge...well...a CHALLENGE! dook finally lost in it though, and in all honesty I will take the Big Ten winning the challenge every year if that means a dook loss....actually I'd take every ACC team losing except for Carolina.

Yeah, Tokoto was in the crowd, and from what I hear he was being chatted up by Brian Butch a little bit. Butch was the last McD's AA from Wisconsin, so he's definitely the guy we want in Tokoto's ear. I hear JP is going to both Duke-UNC games this year, and I'd imagine he'll be in Kentucky, Kansas, and Marquette for their big games too, so it's going to be a really tough fight to get him. But this is encouraging, this was a program defining victory for us and I guess Bo is personally getting involved in Tokoto's recruiting (which is something he never does).

he's a baller...demarcus cousins by the way...what a ******* cry baby punk bitch. he looks like a headcase, like he wanted to murder somebody the entire game.

True, he's got to get himself sorted out. He clearly has talent though. When he has been up for it, he puts up the numbers.

I go to UK, by the way ;)

So suck on John Wall, Tar Heel!!!!!

Wisconsin vs. Sparty tonight on the Big Ten Network. If we can win at their house I think we might be the favorites in the Big Ten (although Purdue will still officially be).

Tokoto update: Roy Williams was in Milwaukee the weekend after Christmas. I guess he caused a big stir when he walked into the Al McGuire Center (on the Marquette Campus, 6 blocks from my house, and I didn't go :(), and kids and all kinds of people were surrounding him like a rockstar asking for autographs. Retards should have treated him like **** and thrown popcorn at him all game so he would hopefully stop taking trips up here to take the jewel recruit of Wisconsin. Tokoto's team lost both of their games in the Tournament; the kid still has a lot of growing up to do.

Wisconsin looking dangerous........

UNC has about 11 4+ star players and looks like dog****. Obviously Roy Williams is a great coach!

They don't have anybody at point. That kid they have (I think its Larry Drew II?) is just bad.. Awful.

Also John Henson hasn't exactly lived up to his top-5 billing.

Ed Davis meanwhile was projected top-5 in the draft THIS year, but he stayed.. And now we see DeMarcus Cousins as frontrunner center.. :D

DeMarcus Cousins sorta reminds me of a more athletic Pau Gasol (without the midrange game). I know people have a hard time seeing cross-racial comparisons, but that's what I see. Gonna be a good one, as long as he doesn't turn into a serial killer.

LOL at UNC. Haven't seen Slayer around here recently. Wisconsin: predicted to be 9th in the Big Ten has a shot to win it all. UNC: predicted 1st in the ACC is going to this NIT. Roy Boy just isn't a great coach; he's good, and he's a phenomenal recruiter, but he's just not an elite coach. I could say the same about Calipari, except I'm not even sure he's a "good" coach.
