You're not the first person I know comparing Brito to Couceiro and Pontes kind...
That's not what I see in Brito.
1- I see in him a Portista that was celebrating the champions league in the streets last year (in Aliados) with all the other portistas there!
2- I see a guy with his own personality. He's not a good talker. He simply does his job. He's nothing like Mourinho and his clones. We need a coach with his own personality now.
3- I see a guy that makes his team do more than expected every year. I mean, take a look at Rio Ave team: their players suck!! Tell me how many good players they have there! And don't forget that their star (Ricardo Nascimento) isn't there anymore since December. And look at how the team reacted to the transfer: amazingly!
4- I see in Brito a guy that really knows how to discipline his players. Have you seen the game against Benfica? Do you remeber on play (on the 70th or 80th minutes where Saulo tried pass a Benfica defender with a 1-1 play when he had Gaucho (I think) alone on his left side... he lost the ball. They filmed Brito next, he was out of his mind telling the players something like this (if my lips reading skills are still good
) : "Saulo!! OH Saulo!! Ò meu filho da puta!!!! Passa a puta da bola ou sentas o cú no banco!"
Harsh? Yeah!!! Sure it was!!! Now remember who made the cross a few minutes later to the winning goal... yep, you guessed: Saulo... he crossed instead of trying another "bonito".
That is the kind of coach Porto needs, not an intelectual of football. We need all those brazilian kids to learn that in Porto there is no place for I in Us.
Brito would fit perfectly.
