CM4 vs. CM03-04...Your thoughts

wondering what thoughts you fellas had on comparison between the two, personally I'm going back to CM4 because it ran so much faster on my computer, maybe mine is old though.

The good things about CM03-04
-U21 and B caps and goals
-Captain preferences, excellent idea
-player relationships
-more player exchange offers
-descriptions for player/manager/young player of the month
-improvements from training shown
-ability to improve players through training
-editor, an obvious one


The bad
-game speed, super slow (on mine anyway)
-form screen, uneccesary
-rating system, didnt need to be changed
-some of the offers you get, amazing
-missing 30 shots a game

I have a look in most of the time I'm on, actually, don't usually post much but that had to be said CM has gone downhill IMO but not having CM4 or 03/04 kinda stops my viewpoint from being valid

yeah i know, its kind of unreliable and biased when yu havent even played what you're going on about. lol. But i know for a fact there are people on here who will say, "CM0304 is better than any older CM" when infact they havent played on any others.

CM0102 is still the best programmed game of the lot.

CM03-04 wins this competition hands down. CM4 was one of the worst games ever made unfortunatly

yea i agree. it has less bugs and some nice new additions.

that shooting thing pisses the hell outta me tho. mpenza, who has 17 for finishing scored about 10 more league goals than any of my players who alot have 20 for finishing and miss alot of chances.

I played Sarge's Men. It wasn't half bad. Ok, I might of been over-reatcing a bit but I just couldn't get into CM4. It was such a cold and unforgiving game.

yea the only real issue i have with 03/04 is the shooting bug. players with 20 finishing will miss one on ones with the goalkeeper way too many freaking times. it adds realism for players to miss but its ridicilous... strikers flame it over the bar about 2 feet in front of the goal and the goalkeeper is a damn ball magnet

i swear i jump out and dance when my forwards put the ball in the side or the corner of the goal instead of in to goalkeeper or over the bar

long story short.... long live 01/02

lol ye that shooting thing is annoying. i get happy whenever one of my players scores.

but since the older cm had 2d match engine we will never know how many did go straight to the keeper. they might have just phrased it differently?

also the ratings are harsh, especially MY goalie in particular

Most addictive by far

CM4
i lost my addictivness to CM because of this game

CM03/04
slowly helping get my addictivness back

Yeah ive got Cm4 but i cant be arsed to get the updates and that so i might get cm03/04 but i was a bit curious of this 30 shot bug, does it occur often?

Its not to bad. I'm sure it will be sorted in the next EP anyway. I would definetly go for CM03-04 and I hated CM4

well, CM 03/04 is my first Championship Manager and it's very, very addictive(to me) played one season in two days
