Well, I'm sure you've all been waiting with baited breath for this to come to this forums so here it is

I guess allot of you are looking forward to this next installment but a one thing has worried me

I went into a GAME shop in Cardiff the other day (The missus was buying some PS1 games like Sabrina the teenage witch and Disney tea party and sh1t like that)
On the "up and coming" releases board they had Championship manager season 03-04 update

So this is going to be an update patch thats going to be marketed or is it just me misinterprating it

I like the new logo. It looks more modern IMO than the currnet one for CM 4

It definitely is NOT just an update.

It's a new game. With a *skinnable* game database editor

I've Read further into it and have a list of "new" features

Improvements on Championship Manager 4

Player to player relationships (i.e. indication of players and their relationships to other players)
Improved media module, the game now gives you more feedback than ever before
Improved match engine (areas such as offside greatly enhanced as well as the inclusion of visual status indicators)
Goal of the month (and season) awards
Pitches now show the effects of weather and this can affect your teams performances
Past meetings information screen
Live Cup draws
More intuitive training system
Effects of training now visually indicated on player profile screen
In-game printing
B & U21 International Caps
Improved scout reports (both player and team)
Improved injury news as well as an updated rehabilitation system

Create nicknames for players and managers
New Alternative Skin
Cup Tree View
Coaches now give their own player rankings

I don't like the fact that things that were perfected in CM01-02 are now being passed off as "new extras"

It's goin to look like that (extras I mean) to players who havent played Cm01

all that stuff was in cm 01-02 except the training. i guess this is marketing. and they ask me why im not signing up for college.

NAh... I think they just thought thse things werent good enough for CM4. They were proved to be wrong, so some good old Cm01/02 "options" arte now back (good for us)

Its very good info in a way that makes you wanna play the game, I just don't like the way they are trying to sell it as a new piece of thinking.

It sounds like a good mix of CM01-02 options and the GUI (Graphical User Interface) of CM4

If the speeds upto scratch this might be the CM to bust up all the other CMs!

i have to say, i did find it funny last time i read that list, how most of the things were in CM01/02 lol. SI -> weird.

I'd like to see more realistic goalscoring... Midfieders scoring more goals and STs scoring less

yeah, strikers scoring 60 in a season is just unrealistic

That happened allot less in later versions of EPs.

Well, I use EP5 and Kezman has already 52 goals after 28 matches (included CL, cup). Still lot of matches to go, so he will make a lot more than 60 goals

yeah, well i do well on cm4 with EP5, and i mean well. But none of my strikers score 40+ a season, and i dont want them to, i had that problem with owen, and so far with three different games its ok.
