[CM 03/04] Defenders needed

Well, in both my Liverpool game and in Mallorca, i'm in need of WORLD CLASS defenders, for a good price (at least for Mallorca). At Liverpool i've got a 64 mil transfer budget, but preferably, post some cheaper players. My defenders : Mexes (decent, 7.17 avg rating on 2nd season, 7.30 on 1st), Coloccini (a flop), Hyypia (my granny is faster than him), Henchoz (he's good but inconsistent), Otsemobor (he looks good but i'm not sure if he's ready for first team football, and i want someone reliable because i want to win titles, not runner-up stuff, like my team is doing lately... ). Any help is appreciated, and as for Mallorca, please defenders with EU nationality, and cheap. My defenders for Mallorca : default squad.

Nice team Mallorca. At the end of the season I signed Bonera with them on a free. You might wanna try that. Another world-class defender is Simone Padoin, co-owned by Atalanta and Vicenza. With my Mallorca squad he was awesome, and for my new game with Atalanta he is great too. In both my games he has a pot. ability of 178 Sign Zonneveld at the start too for Mallorca.

And another (off-topic) tip, sell Eto'o, he is sooooooooo crap (well atleast he was for me)

yeah i think you're right, i could easily get that much for him but i really dont think i could replace him with anyone, his performances this season have been amazing. His long shots are 20 aswell, does anyone else have this with him? or is it a random stat?

I always remember that rule after i post the thread... Thanks for the tips. At Liverpool i'm trying Martinez, and Burdisso, any comments on the last one? On Mallorca i'm negotiating on Zonneveld, but apart from that, nothing. I might sell Eto'o to raise some transfer funds, i think i can get at least 15 mil for him anyway.

burdisso is probably the best CB in the world after 3 or 4 years, so yes he's a fantastic buy. how much you get him for?

I'm still bidding for him. They just rejected a 9 mil bid (i'm in third season, so he'll probably be more expensive) and i tried now a 13 mil bid. I think this time Owen will get the boot, Olisadebe will be my first choice reserve striker and i'll bring Adriano (he's got a 30 mil release fee). But atm i'm trying Burdisso, i just signed Reyes for 15 mil and i'll try Cavenaghi after that.

Burdisso is well worth 15m, like i say he has everything, hes one of the fastest defenders on the game, and at like 23 he has positioning 20, tackling 20, marking 20 for me, also, hes really tempramentel!!!!! WHICH IS ALWAYS FUN!

Looks like if Burdisso gets a WP, which is likely (he's got 4 caps, but he played in all of them and scored too, although the scoring part is meaningless...), since Robinho got a WP with 1 cap. My defense line will be (from DL to DR)
---Zonneveld----Martinez(Renato)----Burdisso----Renato(Martinez)
With Finnan my reserve DR. With Reyes and Cavenaghi (if i sign him) this team will be a machine.

IMO you are overrating Burdisso (it's Tom's fault though ) I had him in CM4, he was good, but not THAT good, in CM03/04 his stats have become worse IMO
