CL.ini & USER.ini Ignored After Patch?

Hi,

I have had standard user ini and cl.ini with cam modifiers and quick launch (no language window etc) working fine in 14. I got the update yesterday and I slowly started to realise no cam modifiers do anything now (sliders are just default adjustments on all cams in game) and language/quick start doesnt work and im always asked for language again now.

All my ini files have not been touch prior to patch and worked fine, they are still in "game" folder as normal and (not that its needed for this) BHL has been run for regen on all bh's (mods are working fine like faces and adboards etc).

Can anyone else confirm the same?

If so, what has EA done in the patch now that wont refer to those ini's, do we need to place them external to a different name now?

As I said in another thread, this is why I never update my game after the initial purchase. Bit sorry though that I didn't buy the game as I could have at least had a pre-patch version.

Oh well, back to Fidel's demo super patch!

Fidel's demo super patch is all I need right now. Probably in a couple months when I need something new to play with I'll think about getting the full game.

Same for me.
Rename the user.ini to rna.ini,
then regenerate.
That works!

Forgive my ignorance, but if I copy Fifamonkey's lines (post #8) into rna.ini and then regenerate, will that boot straight into the main menu, auto-loading the last user profile?

Being new to Fifa, I can hardly conceive how many clicks are required to get to the main menu. I am surprised they don't also want an answer to "Would you like fries with that?" before you can continue.

Is it possible to play career mode without bug when you use Fidel's demo super patch ?

Because I prefer demo gameplay and I only play career mode

Super patch is only for the demo, it just rips all teams and stadiums from 14 full game so you can play them in the demo, you dont need it if you have the full game, otherwise your trying to put the same entire teams back into the game it came from

If you want demo game-play then you only have demo & super patch, career only full versions im afraid. The extra tattoo things and boards that come with superpatch you can get for 14 full on their own anyway or just use moddingway 0.5.

In theory but my experience it just takes you to controller button start section, it avoids language and copyright crap though. Although of late I cant seem to get it to work, but, I now installed the german language pack and that has a bug where it always points the default language to german, so now I removed fast start completely and just jump through the hoops so I can select english, nothing will force to english with german language pack installed (it overrides it all the time) so fast start always loads into game in german no matter how much I force or state english in fast start LOL, oh well I can live with it.

Thanks for that info Fifamonkey. I also have German language installed (along with all the rest!). So maybe I'll stick with the slow startup...for now. I still don't know how EA managed to produced such an ill-conceived startup process, but it's such a great game I can live with it.
