Anyway, a 1-1 score would be realistic but if the players give their best a win is not impossible. The left-back position at Steaua might be a problem since Petre Marin is suspended and Nesu got sick in training the other day, and I really don't want to see Gigel Coman there again.

I think Stancu will replace Petre Marin and I also expect Thereau to be in first 11, he is a tall player with very good technical ability , is more recomended bacause of massive Kyiv's defenders then Badea who is short and fast.

Petre Marin played right back with Standard, I didn't say Stancu is left back.. Stancu will be on the right and Nesu if he is ok will be on the left, if he isn't available I supppose we can expect G Coman to play in this position

Olăroiu intenţionează să-i utilizeze pe cei doi, preferîndu-i lui Badea şi Saban

Roş-albaştrii au efectuat ieri după-amiază ultimul antrenament înainte de plecarea la Kiev. Cosmin Olăroiu a avut la dispoziţie aproape tot lotul, în afara accidentaţilor mai vechi Rădoi şi Victoraş Iacob, ceilalţi jucători pregătindu-se normal.

Antrenorul steliştilor şi-a făcut deja o ideea asupra formulei cu care va începe partida de miercuri, singurele dubii avîndu-le în cazul fundaşului dreapta şi al vîrfului împins. Oli înclină să-l titularizeze pe dreapta pe Stelian Stancu, cu care a început şi meciul de la Piteşti, deşi Klemi Saban are mai multă experienţă internaţională. "Am jucat cu Stancu titular pentru că, dacă voi avea nevoie de el la Kiev, să aibă cel puţin un joc alături de Nicoliţă pe partea dreaptă", s-a confesat Oli unor apropiaţi după meciul cu FC Argeş.

În ceea ce priveşte atacul, Olăroiu e înclinat să-l prefere pe francezul Thereau, care a avut o evoluţie apreciată la debutul său oficial la Steaua, demonstrînd că se poate integra rapid în echipă.
