that is exactly what i've been trying to explain. henry scores in the EPL against all of the sucky teams, and when arsenal play in europe with some decent opposition, they lose...... arsenal's 49 unbeaten run is proof enough.....they win so many matches, and the first game against manU and they lose the whole streak...it's because they've only been playing weak teams, and the only challenge they have in the FA is manchester...bla bla

bayern deserved the win, i don't arseanl will go through, imo, bayern will score an away goal that will mess up everything. henry and arsenal never do well in the knockout stages

you know, i also see that bergkamp's absence was huge. Whenever he plays we are electric, he's a true leader. We missed him, hopefully he'll do something at highbury

^ not tru tho... we played fairly well today, its just taht our DEFENCE is not up to standards... everything else is fine (also apart from wengers picks for starting lineup)

Im an Arsenal fan and I agree that they just have not been able to win a big game lately, this year especially. I think it all comes down to poor defense/goalkeeping. And I dont know whats up with Henry, I mean I want to say its because he gets double teamed or someone is always spying on him. And when you depend on him all year to score goals then against a quality club he gets shut down, somebody else has to elevate their game. Im probably wrong but its just what I think.

You're right about Henry.

But to all those Henry haters out there. Thierry Henry hasn't had a rest for 3 years now. He's played in WC 02, Confederations Cup and Euro 04. Give the guy a break.

damn i predicted this one all wrong.....but the Arse goal was a lifesaver.....unlike most ppl i do think and hope that Arsenal will do enough at Highbury to take them through.The defence badly need Sol and Cole,they will make a huge difference in the second leg,plus Dennis will play ,also you know that Highbury intimidates most visiting teams anyway (not Chelsea i hasten to add....LOL)
I thought Bayerns defence worked hard ,2 or 3 players surrounding each Arsenal attcker,so it was strength in numbers that stopped Arsenal and not so much that they have great defenders....In fact i thought Bayern were as average as Arse tonight....and why is it that i hear all this big talk about Makaay and every time i watch him he just happens to have a "bad night".....another Mr Average that dont perform when faced with the big occasion?.......thats what it looks like.......Anyway cheer up Gooners as someone said its only halftime.............

Well thanks Kristian....most ppl on here know that i dont have any real dislike for any other team, and that i sometimes write stuff to get ppl's backs up.....but i always mean what i say with a smile....so unless i say something positive just ignore me.....most ppl do man....and thats cool......... :D
