Chelsea want to buy macedonian defender Igor Mitrevski (Spartak Moscow), and then loan him to Portsmouth.
his contract end this winter and he didn`t want to renew it, because he had offers for lots of greman glubs.
but now he has said that he is in England and that he is talking with a club but doesn`t want to say wich, he said that a deal should be made in 2 days.

he was quite popular at 2001 june when Arsenal and Top greaman teams Baern.M. and Borusia.D. wanted to buy him.

The only reason Mr. Abramovich is doing this is so people in Russia don't hate him too much for putting all his money into English football instead of Russian football which needs the money more.
It's the same reason he bought Smertin.

Yes, but he's not an oil tycoon. The oil tycoons in Russia are slowly being forced into exile. Rumour has it, Obramovich saw Chelsea as his free ticket out of Russia.

Russia's a bit screwed anyway. Won't be long before another revolt.

Yeah we got Alexi Smertin, he's currently on loan to us from Chelsea, I honestly think he could play in any team in the world, he works so hard and is such a good tackler, he's the Russian captain aswell, brilliant player, just hope we can buy him.

about Mitreski it's just a joke, i think. and Smertin is a very nice player, especially in defense.

Abramovich have russian hockey club - Avangard Omsk - most expencive club, but not best(like NY Rangers). Also he is giving money to CSKA Moscow.
Smertin: In Russia another tycoon wanted to make super-club based on Torpedo Moscow, but in the end deal stucked. So, Abramovich had to buy Alexei for Chelsea.
