You guys played 2 home matches in a row while Man Utd played 2 away matches. On top of that Portmouth had a week to prepare against Man Utd while SPurs only had like what 36 hours?!?pede54;2305250 said:Their loss today was not just all about feeling the strain from the Roma game, as Fergie claimed. We too played a CL game midweek but we still managed a win today. I think Man U today may have been unsettled big time by the fact that we won earlier in the day, therefore causing some tension and nervousness throughout their squad. I think that they choked under the pressure perhaps.

"oh we play like a champion" -fergie vs blackburn
The problem with Man U is that the squad players you are now relying on to win you this title are just nowhere near good enough. Your back line for the rest of the season will look pretty much as it did today. With that alone in mind I can see Man U leaking goals from here on in.

hopefully this result will spur on our team, they did a fine job. Its going to be very close.
artical from ESPNsoccernet.comChelsea produced a sensational last-gasp finish to earn a place in the semi-finals but coach Jose Mourinho issued a further veiled hint that he may not be at Stamford Bridge next season.
Mourinho revelled in their 2-1 victory over Valencia - the first in the Mestalla stadium by an English club since Leeds's triumph 40 years ago - but then virtually admitted that it is far from certain he will be at Chelsea next term.
A 90th-minute goal from Michael Essien - playing his first game for a month after recovering from a knee ligament injury - gave Chelsea a memorable European night in Spain.
But Mourinho said ominously: 'What I want is to remain in England with Chelsea but sometimes in life you cannot get what you wish and what you want. If I can't coach there I would like to coach another team.'
