No offers for Gallas or Crespo. That must be a shock for Crespo that Italy has not come calling. Nice to see Jose's vote of confidence for Wayne Bridge though.

I am inclined to agree with you , but they are actual quotes from Gallas agent. You need Cole we need Gallas , everyones happy :)

We don't NEED Cole though, and Gallas will certainly NOT be part of the deal if we do buy him. Those quotes from his agent are fiction and are the opposite of what he said this afternoon (Saturday).

If Gallas wants to leave, he can buy out his contract and go where he pleases or, he can sit with his over inflated ego on the bench all season until he contract expires. One way or the other, he stays at Chelsea for a good while yet.

He performs well at Chelsea partly because of the players that surround him. In the middle of an inferior back four I think you might witness the kind of player that you saw during the World Cup. Inept and clueless at times. He is good but he aint THAT good. We won't offer him to Arsenal but if he wants to go next season then thats up to him. You are welcome to our rejects. :)

Would Arsoles pay Gallas £80,000 + a week do you think?

Well let Arsenal offer less than £80,000 a week and we will see how unimportant money actually is to him.

Anyway I thought the general consensus was that ALL Chelsea players are mercernaries who only join Chelsea to play for money. :jambo:

I wouldn't want to start the season with only two forwards. You have a lot of money, you should really get someone

Also, you supposedly have a buy back option after a year... why is that, since Crespo wouldn't want to return to England?

We are in the market for someone else, its just frustrating because we have left things very late. If Gallas leaves, we have two CBs, since Robert Huth is not a CB, but rather a liability.

I really thought that he would have flourished at Chelsea. It's like he had a mental-block in his head about Italy though.

And I wouldn't be surprised if there was a swap between Chelsea and Arsenal.
It's a good deal for both sides. I don't even think there should be any money compensation coming from either party. Both players are unsettled and have apparently picked their destinations. This is an easy solution to a big problem for all involved.

Didn't Drogba say he was undecided whether to stay in Chelsea or not?

Hehe, I love it when Mourinho brings Huth in and puts him as a FW.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Drogba go. He won't start with Sheva in the team, and I take him as an ambitious person who won't accept the bench so easily.

Wonder who's gonna replace Crespo? Doubt its gonna be a big a name as Torres or Tevez.

Mourinho likes having several players for each position. Assuming he plays one out and out striker he wont need a replacement as he will already have Sheva and Drogba.

A few quick things

Thank god Huth failed that physical. Because in two weeks time we'd be looking at Terry-Carvalho and no backup. Gallas will be off, im almost positive, but we will pay Milan to take him before we'd let him go for a free to Arsenal, unless they want to swap for Kolo Toure. There has been talk of Mancienne coming up to the squad. But without Gallas, we lack that physical freak who can defend with power, speed, grace, technique, etc

For a fourth striker, we have Scott Sullivan we can call up and return to the youth team if necesscary. Mourinho must, MUST give Sullivan, Mancienne, Diarra, Morais, Woods, Anthony Grant, and Elmer some playing time this year. Just because we can afford better, more expensive talent, doesnt mean we need to neglect our own, which is pretty impressive thusfar. They have to be rewarded. I dont give two sh*ts about the Carling Cup, and JT, Lamps, Cech, Maka and Robben shouldnt be playing in those games.

Also, I doubt Drogba is going to be leaving since its now a case of us partnering strikers, but if Asshole-las over at Lyon is willing to pay through the nose like he yapped about in the past, then lets lets cut and run with the money for a guy who has been a clear disappointment.

And as for my previously held opinions:

I still dont want Ashely Cole

Now that Joe Cole is out for a month, maybe more, I think its obvious selling Duff so hastily was a mistake
