Changing the teams strategy on a PC

Does anyone know how to do this on the PC version?

I'm not talking about the tactics selector, I know how to do that. But I don't know how to change the team to Offensive, Neutral or Defensive.

Any answers?

Figured it out.

In Creation Master:

Select your team, Select the 'Formation' tab, and on the right hand side, there is a list with the title 'Tactic'. One of the options is mentality, and you can change it there.

I'm pretty sure you can do it in Manager Master also, but I don't have it installed so I can't verify.

I don't think there is a way inside the actual game.

I remember reading it was possible to do in the PS3 and Xbox versions, but of course EA Sports put a half-ass effort into the pc version, so a lot of features are left out.

Figured out a way.

I use a joypad when I play on the PC, like most users. But some of the controls don't work for joypad users So when I need to change my teams mentality, I do the following...

1. Pause the game.

2. Go to the controller menu

3. Move the keyboard symbol to your teams side (hit the left or right arrow)

4. Continue the match.

5. Hit the 5 key on the numberpad. A small arrow will appear. The up green up triangle indicates an "Attack" mentality. No Arrow is for "Neutral" and a "down" arrow is for a "defensive" mentality.

6. Pause the game again

7. Go to controller menu

8. Move the keyboard symbol, off of your team and back to the centre.

9. Continue the match.

Moving from a "Neutral" to a "defensive" mentality can have a big effect on where you players choose to be on the pitch.

What a SIMPLE 8| way of changing mentality...
How difficult would it be to set a pre-defined button to change mentality...or make it an option in the pause menu?

Boggles my mind.

Anyways, thanks for sharing that. Quite interesting. I was wondering why Rinaldo had that feature in CM, but I couldn't find it in the game.

By the way, what type of controller do you use? I'm using a logitech dual action gamepad, so if I do find a way of changing mentality with that, I'll share it.

I just tested around in the game, and it turns out my controller does have thea feature. In the centre of my gamepad, I have a button called #9 (all the buttons are numbered 1-10)

#9 is the button that changes mentality.

I'm only using a standard controller I bought in GAME. There's no name on it. I only use a joypad with Fifa, so I'm not willing to go mad and fork out much for it.

Mind you, I've gone through about 3 of them as they end up being thrown accross the room in pure anger.
