On my Logitech Wingman Cordless RumblePad it is the button 6 (Z button). Note that this controller has A, B, C, X, Y, Z (and two R and two L) buttons, so if you have controller with 4 + 4 buttons, I don't have an idea what would be the button for mentality...

On my Logitech Rumblepad 2 it is button 9 but I have heard tell of controllers that don't seem to map a button to that function. When you have a goal kick or throw in try pressing all of the buttons on the controller other than the ones that actually put the ball in play and see if any of them brings up the empty circle that indicates neutral mentality.
