I don't think you can do it in Manager mode, the only place I know where you can change it is in CAP/edit mode.

It would be great if you could train players to switch positions in game, but I haven't seen anywhere where it's possible, which sucks because EA made some fudge ups with positions.

I'm having the same problem with changing positions, and I can't find where to do it in CAP/edit mode.
First tab, "Player info", contains birth date, name, preffered foot, kit number and such. No position change.
Second tab, "Player style", handles tucked shirt, sleeves, boots and celebration. No position change.
Third tab, "Accessories", is about ankle tape, sweats bands and such. No position change.
Fourth tab, "Categories", is about stats. Here, in the bottom of the screen the players current position is shown i large letters. But I can't find a way to change this position, other than altering the stats, which makes it very limiting. Can't make a defender whose fast etc. And impossible to create a goalie, even though I've maxed out the goalie stats and zero'd everything else.

Doesn't anyone else have problems with this? If there isn't, then there's probably a very simple solution an I'm pretty stupid. :ewan: But if that's the case, please tell me what this simple solution is. Please!

To change a player's position, you edit his various ratings. As the ratings change, his position changes - and you can view his new position as you're lowering his ratings because it changes on the screen while you're changing ratings. Example: if you want to change a striker to a midfielder, lower his offensive ratings: finishing or maybe shot power. To switch a defensive player to an offensive player, lower his defensive (tackle) ratings.
