Hull and Bristol are both really big cities, so their absence from the top flight for so long is strange. Hull have actually never been their, in 1904 they finished 3rd in the old second division, that's the highest the club has ever finished until they matched it this year. Bristol's support is splintered between themselves and Bristol Rovers, but Hull are the only team in town, is Rugby THAT big there?
And why is Hull called "Hull" when it's "Kingston-upon-Hull"? Wouldn't that make it "Kingston" like Newcastle is officially "Newcastle-upon-Tyne"?
