I have no idea, never saw a Castilla game but for the kind of player he was and with this Madrid's roster i think he will try to dominate the games and be an attacking team instead of sit back and wait for a counter.

Historically, Madrid won important stuff with soft coaches (Del Bosque, Ancelotti) Iron sergeants flop (Capello, Mourinho, Benitez).

Discreet, played as RCM (Rakitic position) and did anything wrong but stil far from what we expect from him. Won 6 out of 7 tackles and his attitude were excellent though.

Aleix had a better debut IMO, quality minutes by him.

Suarez is suspended for 2 games for provoking Espanyol players after the game in the tunnel for supposedly telling someone he's a waste of space.

Diop is suspended for 1 game for calling Suarez' mother a whore. Pau is not suspended and can make another attempt to break Messi's leg.

Meanwhile, for much worse things, Ronaldo got nothing and the press didn't even mention it. At least not this circus like they did with Suarez.

Alves faces real competition in Aleix Vidal for the first time since he joined Barça. Unreal player, I knew the incredible pace was there, but I didn't expect him to be so good in general, very good ball controll and connection with the team.

Rakitic was really missed in the 1st half today. His overall contribution is sadly overlooked by many. Very intelligent player off the ball, have to say it again, and the best player today for me. The team had balance when he came on, we really lacked legs in midfield in the first half. His use off the ball, runs and positioning were phenomenal.

Mascherano was an absolute warrior today and that save after Vermaelen fucked up was amazing.

Munir scored but he is still very poor, doesn't contribute with anything. Hope we sign Nolito after all.

Messi recovered 7 balls, he defends really well when he thinks it's needed.

Vermaelen and Adriano... No words. Next summer we really need to get a decent (at least) back up for Jordi.
