I know AVB was the manager at the time, I'm saying I don't think he was the main reason we got him. It was most likely Emenalo, although I'm sure AVB was consulted.

Our youth side reached and lost the NextGen finals, beating Barca along the way. That's nice.

Sporting should have won that, they were better than Villa but got unlucky on the extra time. It's actually surprising Villa won against you.

At least some subs are starting rather than starters, although Mata starting is not nice. Yossi over Marin is surprising although indicative of what we should expect from Marin in the future. Funny that Yossi is getting his most appearances when his departure is all but confirmed. He looked so promising before that Newcastle injury. Oh well. Let's win this thing while not putting too much effort into it!

Torres with an awkward goal, he made a good run for a Luiz pass from deep, miscontrolled the ball and both he and the defender went to the ground from where he somehow poked it in. Good for him, anyway.

Torres (and Bertrand just now) doing some nice stuff actually. Mata with lapses of concentration. Maybe Rafa told the starters to take it easy and the rest to prove themselves.

2-0, Moses with a volley after two chances should have been dealt with by the Rubin keeper, who is quite poor.

Rafa is gonna win 2 cups and finish out of the CL spot and it will be great for everyone except Roman.
