All these Posts are so funny...

who expected that England wouldn't be in the Final Stage of the European Championship?

NOBODY!

But that's football. And all the Teams that are qualified for the knockout Round can win the competition. Nobody expected that Porto could win it in 2004.
But they done it!

And why not this year too? :-)
POOOOOOOORTO!

Because you're not nearly as good as the other teams?

wouldn't be surprised if Sevilla would win it, Luis Fabiano and Kanoute are on fire. though I really think Man United and Real Madrid are the favourites for it, they've got balanced squads and good chemistry plus the current form.

I CANNOT wait until this Friday mates...

I don't really care that much about Inter winning the CL...it would be awesome if they did but what I really want is to face some really big teams along the way!

Inter are on fire right now and I want them to dominate other large clubs so if we DO win the CL we will truly be the best team!

FORZA INTER!!!!! :rockman:

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long
Yellow Card
yeah, but we more than likely wouldn't be able to take them down, should we draw them....now or in February. And of the other teams of consequence, worth challenging(runners up), well....Arse is the only other.

Anyone watching the draw?

Celtic v Barcelona
Olympique Lyonnais v Manchester United
Schalke 04 v Porto
Liverpool v Inter Milan
AS Roma v Real Madrid
Arsenal v AC Milan
Olympiakos v Chelsea
Fenerbahce v Sevilla

Sevillista

Starting XI
Hahaha

We get Fenerbahce and Arsenal draw Milan. That's what Arsene Wenger gets for not taking the Sevilla-Arsenal match seriously. As a result I get a decent draw in Sevilla-Fenerbahce and an impressive match to watch as a neutral in Arsenal-Milan.

IMO arsenal got a good draw...i expect them to beat milan. Young legs, speed and enterprising.

As for united...it will be a tricky tie against lyon but we should be fine. Just mark benzema out.

Kind of like how everybody expected ManU to beat Milan in the semis last year?

If I've learned anything, it's that you can't underestimate Milan in international competition. How they're mid-table in the Serie A is beyond me.

Arsenal will beat Milan, IF all of Arsenal's players are fit. More than Man Utd ever had a chance. Arsenal play some sexy football, and quicker than United, plus United relied too much on Ronaldo last season. Arsenal's goals will come from everywhere, they will run Milan rugged like they did to Juve 2 seasons ago.

As for our beloved Man Utd, well ****!!! Out of all the teams, they just couldnt give us Olympiakos eh? Lyon is probably the toughest of the 2nd placed teams, even stronger than Roma by quite a long stroll.

With the exception of the Olympiakos - Chelsea game, I think the matches are fantastic on paper.

Lyon are not an easy team to beat. They have talented players, pacey players. They have quite a formidable midfield in Kallstrom and Juninho and a brilliant finisher in Karim Benzema, whose stock went up after that brace against Rangers. And when there is Juninho, free kicks will be mentioned. I'm sure everybody would like to draw Olympiakos, but I'd be happy with Lyon as opposed to Schalke and Fenerbahce.

Looking forward to February. (Y)

Olympiakos arent quite that bad :P I'd say they better than the likes of schalke/celtic/porto/fener and this years Lyon-Sevilla .

Anyway, the only game that looks interesting to me Inter - Lpool (Y) Looking forward to that

All i have to say is that Milan have never faced a full strength united side yet in recent years. both in 2002 and last season. And so far in the competition they have yet to play a speedy team like Arsenal. Should be a cracker.

Youth Team
pff, the likes of Inter would be set to a 0, especially with Liverpool getting on full speed in the CL..
Arsenal - Milan would be the coolest game. It would be very thrilling to watch the youngest againts the oldest, the fastest against the slowest, the boldest against the wisest (omg, i'm a f00kin poet, i know :P)..
Anyway, i strongly suspect an Arsenal win.. Otherwise it won't be romantic.. And everyone will see and say "Well, look how those MIlan' granddads bashed the Arsenal young lads", and everyone will start to play 33 year old players and the young and the youth will go down.. :D
