I figured out my problem: I ran the i68 Regenerator 1.6 on administrator mode and it worked! Make sure you do this, guys. And also make sure you already have a db and loc folder by following the instructions giving a few pages back (I quoted them).

Guys, can someone explain to me exactly how to install this final db? I know it's a stupid question but I don't have experience with this stuff. It consists of a db and loc folder, do I simply extract these into the FIFA 11 folder over the db and loc folders already there? Or do I have to do something else with a program?

just replace original ones, then Regen again (of course)!

good to hear that u FINALLY sorted it out...

enjoy playing CEP!

the south american leagues i will update for myself for fifa 12.

im not sharing **** anymore, starting at 12s release, im done in the community.

you ungrateful motheruckers just whine & complain about everything.
we have been working on this patch for almost 6 months, we started the db
just after the demo released for 11.

you stupid little bastards have no idea what it took to put this patch together for you, vajo & i did the db, many people helped make kits for leagues & teams we will & would never play w/ for you guys.

you have any idea what i went through to incorporate the ea winter updates
for you guys.

so yous could play w/ teams from your country, & all we read is complaints.
good luck next year making a cep 12 patch, & btw this patch is off limits to use as a base, you make this patch yourself from scratch.

& ill make sure when i download it i will find every single mistake w/ the patch & make sure you hear about it, even if it takes me 6 months to find them all.

**** you noobs & ungrates from the bottom of my heart.

VAJO DO NOT RELEASE THE FIXED DB I WORKED ON, LET THEM DO IT THEMSELVES.

While I do understand where you're coming from, keep in mind that a lot of the whiners probably don't understand forum etiquette. I've noticed that almost every single whiney post here that bothered you and vajo (in fact, I think it was all of them) was clearly written by someone who didn't speak English very well at all. A lot of these people may be from developing countries who don't understand the nuisances of internet etiquette, how much time it takes to put together this database, how few people worked on it, etc., and my guess is a lot of them are under the age of 13. I didn't know until recently that it was bad etiquette to ask when a patch would be finished...they may not have intended to be whiney, they were just asking a question they were wondering about. Some 11 year-old kid from Honduras who just started using computers two years ago won't understand that it is bad manners to ask when a patch is complete or to make complaints/suggestions about a patch or to point out its errors and inaccuracies...they might be just trying to help.

Having said that, as it says in your sig, you don't owe us anything and if you don't feel you've been appreciated enough for the tremendous amount of work you've done on the patch, than you are by no means morally in the wrong for deciding not to release any of your work in the future to the general public. You and vajo did a lot of great work for the community, so you obviously don't have to help us out anymore.

What I do disagree with is you not allowing anyone else to use the patch as a base...apparently this can be used as a base for next year's edition, and a new team could successfully create a CEP 12 and have it out relatively early. This would be for the good of everyone and it wouldn't require you to lift a finger. But if we can't use this as a base than it would take months more to release another CEP, if it happened at all (I doubt anyone is as good at this stuff as you or vajo). I understand that you're angry about the amount of complaining and the lack of appreciation, but not allowing us to use the patch as a base isn't going to make anything better, it's only going to make FIFA much worse for all of us. We all know how ****ty unpatched FIFA is. Obviously you are by no means obligated to let us use this patch as a base and it would be very nice of you to do so, but the world will be a better place if you let the modding community use it.

Hope I didn't offend you and I would love to help you out with the South American leagues for FIFA 12 (as you mentioned in the post). I don't care much about extra European leagues, there are enough in the game, all I want are the South American leagues since my favorite team and league are Argentine and I want to play a good career mode as them. Having some teams from Africa and Asia would be nice so that we could somehow make a Club World Cup, though that may be impossible, I have no idea (if not, it would be cool to create the Intercontinental Cup, because for me, the huge drawback to playing as a South American team is being unable to play against the elite European sides in competitive play). Anyway, other than that, what I think is important for FIFA to have are the South American leagues, so I'd love to help. I don't know anything about computers, but I could certainly help with the database and other grunt work. If you don't want any help, I'd certainly be willing to buy your work from you.

Super like your post (Facebook style).

I dont know whether you are following this editing forum for the last 2 years or not, I guess you were not following. If you had, you would have known that in 2010 also there were two huge projects being carried out in this forum - CEP for Fifa 10 and RTWC 2010. The amount of such ****ty talks and pathetic whines were simply too much. Every alternative post was "when are you releasing, World Cup is coming up, Fifa 11 is coming up", and after release every alternative post was "American Samoa has not got this player as a substitute" or "why Papua New Guinea players have got so much low ratings".
It is too much frustrating for every modder. In spite of all these things, these guys decided to come up again this year and unearthed the mysteries of the database and file structures taking much pain because from this year, everything is new. Result? All you can see. Naturally the modders feel pissed off and react in such a way.

One more thing, this type of behavior is not only coming from ppl of developing countries, it is also coming from under-developed children of many developed countries. Non-English speaking countries dont mean developing countries. Many non-English people are superb contributors here.

as far as another group of people making a patch of this magnitude most likely will not happen, if you read posts, you can clearly see members dont
even understand what read the read me means & cant figure out how to install cep 11 by simply dragging all the folders to the data folder, how the hell are they gonna make this patch.

as arka said you clearly havent been here a while, people here dont give a s**t about the time you put in, the effort you have given, they treat us as
if we are a division of ea sports, they paid us & we owe it to them.

all i owe them is a slap in the mouth.

we do this because we choose too.

& language spoken by posters has nothing to do w/ it, im american & speak spanish, vajo is chilean & speaks english & none of us are 100% fluent in the 2nd languages we speak outside of our native tongue.

yeah, i've read about that already earlier

that means that no Cup winners in Europe at all, unless we qualify in regular season and secure a european spot, right??!! no matter the country u're playing in, right??!!

i can live w/ that... ;)

True, it's that or double teams in the euro tournaments, which would be worse in my opinion... Hope someday EA will give us an opportunity to make realistic qualification logic for international tournaments... but their priorities haven't been creating a stunning career mode for the last couple of years. It would be epic to be able to combine FIFA with a game like Football Manager, but I don't see this happen in the near future...

Thanks for the updated db guys and hope the bitterness of little ungrateful kids' posts will go away quick :)

Like I said earlier, regardless of what you decide, hats off for your work.

I still hope you'll comeback later, maybe even stronger than ever - with a bigger team of modders (Im pretty sure there are at least a few really good patchmakers out there that could help you out) and release an even better patch for Fifa 12 :)

And yeah, no matter how perfect it would be, there would still be whiners. But then again, there will always be trolls on the internet and stupid kids that dont know better. But there will also be people that will realize the amount of work you guys put into this patches and they will pay you the respect you deserve. You can always count on that and Im sure you know it.

Thanks again for a wonderful project! Wish kids of the internet didnt ruin the possible improvements and updates with excessive whining and lameness, but we cant always get what we want :)

Take care, and know that it will be a pleasure playing fifa with CEP for me, even without future updates. Your work will make me and Im sure a lot of other people happy and grateful. That's a fact.

Hey guys, I haven't been around (within the past couple months is the first time I've been to the forum in years) so I wasn't aware of how much whining there has been in the past patches, so yeah, I totally understand why they don't want to do it again.

As far as the languages go, of course there are many db makers out there who aren't English speakers and I know that vajo is from Chile. I wasn't trying to say that it's only English-speakers that make good db's and don't whine, I just noticed that the whiners seemed to not be English-speakers and that maybe they're from developing countries where they might not know about some of the etiquette. I'm from the US but I didn't even know until recently that it was bad manners to ask when a patch would be done, so I can see how someone who doesn't have a lot of internet experience might not get the etiquette. Also, some of them probably seem like they are complaining about missing a substitute for some 4th division side in Bosnia but maybe they are just trying to help out and let the db makers know what the mistakes are.

That's the only explanation I have because I don't see how you could possibly whine about anything to a patch-maker considering all of the work they do for the community...some of the posts though are absolutely ridiculous, why on earth would you actually complain about an extensive patch being made by a few people for the good of the community. I think the internet in general facilitates horrible social skills and I think this here is the result of a few 10 year olds who just don't have a clue about the basic rules of society.

As far as CEP 12 goes, I'm sure someone will do it, with this as a base it could get done very quickly with the help of a lot of people. I'd be willing to pitch in, though I probably could only help with the basic stuff.

Off-topic but is there a good third-party program for editing the database? As in editing player positions, names and ability levels? You can't edit the names in game, you can only set their main position (and not their secondary position(s), and with the ratings the players are capped at a certain level for some reason, meaning you can't edit one rating without lowering another one. Is there a program outside of FIFA where I can easily edit these things?
