Celtic after Landreau

Honest Man

French keeper Mickael Landreau night be lured to Celtic next season. If he signs for Celtic, it will be the end of Rab Douglas and Magnus Hedman's Celtic career :boohoo:

He's a class keeper, not having his best year this year but he's class. :) I'd like to see him at Arsenal for some reason.

He's great in my Juventus team in FIFA 2004, hasn't let me down yet. :)
He'll probaly be too good for the Scottish League just like Boumsong was.

He`d be great at Marseille after Barthez retires.
But i don`t think he`d come back into Ligue 1.

No way is he signing for Celtic!

let's face it you always have to be suspicious when a player's agent starts a story.

He's a very good keeper. He started in France in 1996 at just 17 so he has much experience. I don't know if he wants to leave France for Scotland as Boumsong last year, but I think his left is quite sure. He denied this Celtic's rumour this afternoon, the season isn't finished yet and he wants to play good the last season's game for Nantes...

Yes, and he'd much rather join R*ng*rs, I believe.

I never saw him play for France, I wonder why? He's better than Coupet, Barthez and cie..

Boumsong wasnt "great" in the SPL. Mavin Andrews did all the work :nape:

I agree Boumsong didn't really shine in the SPL but I definitely don't think Andrews"did all the work" as Andrews didn't get in Rangers' team very much in the first half of the season.

Boumsong just seemed to turn on the ball and get all the plaudits.

It was amazing how he disappeared in the Auxerre game, just like Barry Ferguson does every time he plays for Scotland. (H)

I don't agree... Barthez is still the best French keeper in France, he did great games with l'OM and France NT this season, he's a leader for France and we need him. Coupet is 2nd IMO. He played good since 2 or 3 seasons and his Barthez's replacements with France are good. Landreau is just 25, and he's logically 3rd... His last 2 seasons weren't bad but his position in France with Nantes can't permit to have a place in France 1st team... Sébastien Frey seems better at almost the same age... In 2 or 3 years, 1st place will be dispute between Landreau and Frey..
