Cantona and France

What do the French people think about him?

Recently I saw an interview they made him (on a spanish channel) where he said he's national team isn't France, it's England.
And that he feels more English than French.

Maybe this is old news but I never really heard about this before :$

Cantona is French football legend ... but nto in the same way as Zidane, or Platini.

I think he's seen like the Cantona of the Nike ads for his charisma and as The guy who did well over at ManU.

It's not surprising he feels that way ... he was snubbed by Aime Jacquet for Euro96, and was never considered to play for France again, as he was identified as one of the culprits for France failure to qualify for USA 94.

i've seen "Mookie", story about a talking monkee :p, where cantona plays a boxer, not much cop.
And "L'outremangeur", where he plays a cop that has an obsession with food. Very good movie i thought.

and there's another, but i haven't seen, called "Le bohneur est dans le près" he plays in that along side his brother.

He hasn't been in some masterpieces of movies, but i think he's a very good actor.

Oh sweet.Which part of Califonaia does he live(Hollywood?).I know he moved to america to persue this acting career.

France love the Premiership since Cantona plaid at MU...

Cantona ... you misses us ... return to England with Fergusson please...

yeah, i saw recently an interview with him to, here at portugal for the european beach football champs. he said that he was hoping that england would win Euro 04, but now he's hoping Portugal does it. he said he doesn't care about france, and that he wished he was born in england, bla bla bla....we're used to this cantona temper....but who cares? he's a god..

I don't think he should say things like that about his country just because he wasn't a part of the French national team's success.

Obviously there is no comparing him to Zidane, who is a Champions League winner as well as a European and World champion with France.
