Can Batistuta and Crespo play together??????

According to Marcelo Bielsa they can´t . Both of them are the classic center forward. Would you make them play together????

Bielsa should at least played them together for a few couple of matches,,You dun just said that they are not compatible to play together,,,you have to experiments to get the results...if they played together at the last World Cup,,I think they would had more chances to be World Champion....now is too late, Batigol hang his boot at International stage....

I'd never make them play together because Batistuta is a great player and Crespo is more hype than anything...just an opinion.

They should play together. So what if they are both classic CFs? The argentinian midfield already has enough playmaking talent. In the world cup, the strikers just didnt' put away their chances. Should both forwards play together, more chances will turn into goals, and they surely would have beaten sweden, and then who knows what would happen from there.

Batigol's had his time and showed at this World Cup and over the last season that he's not up to the standard that he was. I'd have played Crespo this time around.

It's like Turkey being unable to drop Hakan Sukur who had to be the most overrated striker in the World Cup.

Of course they can play together but if I had to choose 1 of then I´d choose Batigol for sure. Crespo is not as good as he thinks he is.

first of all Crespo is good he just had an injury prone season I don't know if he's as good as Batigol was in his prime but he's better than him now and of course they can play together just like Ronaldo and Vieri play together.

i think Beilsa choked big time... i don't know but alot of teams would love to have 2 great fowards... anyway if you're about to be eliminated why not just go for it with everything you've got!!i don't think anybody cared that Batigol and Crespo played the same position in that game against Sweden..

it's too bad Batitistuta retired from international football becuse he was the reason i would always go for Argentina..(except for my country that comes fisrt of course) anyway i don't think Crespo is as good as Bati... but i'm also not saying Crespo sucks he's jusr not in Batistutas League.. thats just my opinion

The reason you never see Crespo and Batistuta in the same team is that they are the same person.

One time, Batistuta knew he was going to get replaced by Crespo in the 2nd half so at half time, he already put on his Crespo wig to save time. That way, he only had to change shirts when he did the substitution.

It's no wonder Crespo is often rubbish, because he already has to play most of the game as Batistuta. And the Crespo wig makes his head hot and itchy.

Bielsa is an idiot, Not playing two world class strikers together is a mistake. Crespo in my opinion is far better than Batistuta. From my point of view, Batigol just watches the game far too much. He seems to have a midas touch around the goal. Crespo runs and chases a lot, winning his share of balls.

Bielsa should have obviously considered pairing them up, especially when you think he suddenly decides to play long balls the entire match, 2 strikers makes far more sense.

Well, I really don't agree with you on that one. For one, Bati's record speaks for itself. Maybe Crespo is probably better right now (not far better imo, anyway). I've seen Crespo pull off some incredible dribbles and shots for Argentina and Lazio...something that amazes me cuz I used to consider him no better than Pippo Inzaghi. Anyway, you're right about Bati having the midas touch...something most other strikers don't have. Give him a half chance or a quarter chance for that matter and he'll make you pay...well used to before last season anyway.
Anyone needs reminding....go and find Batistuta's goal for Fiorentina against Arsenal at WEMBLEY, or better yet (!!!!! I love this one) ... go find his goal against Man U at OLD TRAFFORD, both scored in the Champions League a few seasons ago. Also in his last season at Fiorentina in his last match I remember him scoring an INCREDIBLE free kick against Venezia (or was that Vicenza?). Anyway, if you all can't find the goals, tell me...I've got all three I've mentioned (plus a few more too...)

Anyway, I am also a firm believer that Bati and Crespo sholud have been played together no matter how similar they are...simply because they are two world class strikers... Sad to see the Argies go out they way they went...and especially Bati too...

Anyway, hopefully their new coach won't be afraid to play Saviola and Crespo together (and he better play them or else...hmm....who knows, maybe Maradona will make a comeback..)
