In Euro 2004 there is an option in the DB to turn on diving. I don't know if it works as I haven't tried it. How did the diving work cos like Rochester Rhino I started playing after it was taken out?

It might be so, because EA said they included diving in euro.
Where can I find it then? You know?

If you extract the database using ECP's UNIDB then open the player stats part of the DB there is a colum which allows you to turn diving on for each individual player. You may also be able to turn diving on using some of the DB editors that have been created but I haven't tried any of them so am not sure.

Diving is a real part of the game as much as we all wish it wasn't. I think FIFA should have stats which determine how often players dive or get ejected. Thus Jon Dahl Tomasson (much as I love him) would dive a lot if you play against him, and Beckham is more likely to, say, swear at the ref in Spanish and get a red card.

But they should put in a "dive" button - you can hit it when there is contact. It would be a mini-game of sorts. Time it well, and you get a foul or card when there wouldn't necessarily have been one. Time it badly, or use it too much, and you'll get a yellow card for diving. I think it would be a very interesting new dimension. But frankly in general they need to fix the officiating so there are more fouls and cards, you can get away with anything short of a knifepoint robbery in 2004.

I've noticed that in Euro that sometimes your guy just falls when he is getting tackled and has no where to go. It might not even really be a foul but sometimes the defender gets called for one or sometimes the ref just lets the play go on. I think its sort of an automatic dive. As fun as it was in the older Fifas to just do a swan dive everytime your guy was in the box, I don't remember the refs calling fouls too much on the dives.

Have you even played it? The gameplay is unbelievable.

The only thing newer games have over those are graphics, like winning 11 for ps is MUCH better gameplay than fifa 2004.

I hated playing my brother he alway dived in FIFA98 in the box and got the call, but when I did it the ref just says play on

I also like the feild size feature in Fifa97 where you would a small pitch, medium, and large which was official size. And also indoor ruled

yeah diving would be cool, but they would need to make it realistic, like when you get caught you get cautioned. and the dive itself needs to look realistic like a player rolling around on the ground and what not.

yeah, find a way to make it so that you DONT do it very often.... Only maybe once in a few games.

or maybe even less
