The major favourites to win it are Santos and Cruzeiro. São Caetano and São Paulo have a decent outside chance at winning it, although i consider it very hard. Any other team that wins it, and it will be a upset.

Like i said, Santos and Cruzeiro are the major favourites. I dont really consider São Paulo that much of a favourite, because i still dont see anything brilliant in that team, it doesnt look like a squad of champions. They're doing well in Libertadores, but i would still pick São Caetano over them. They have Luis Fabiano, Rogerio Ceni and that's all. The rest are good/average players at most.

The defense is extremely mediocre, and their attack is not that great, they still dont make up for the terrible defense. Luis Fabiano looks good now, but when São Paulo cant count on him, they're pretty much dead. And the same Luis Fabiano has a tendency to screw up and get sent off in a lot of games when things arent going his way.

Paulo Da Silva

Starting XI
i though Sao Paulo were a good team.
They have some pretty good players
Gustavo Nery
Rogerio Ceni
Diego Tardelli
lui Fabiano
Ricardinho

I dont think much of him. He's a good player, that's all. Gives 100%, but i dont think he will become a great footballer.

Sao Paulo, playing with 9 men since the 15th minute of the second half, struggled to beat Atletico PR with a goal in the 43rd minute of the second half by Gustavo Nery.

Fourth round of the league gone; Corinthians got trashed 4-0 by archi-rivals Palmeiras (just promoted from division 2)(H) . Things are now really bad to them - it´s the second 4-0 in a week! - and the supporters are very angry... There was also the clash between São Paulo and Rio champions, Flamengo and São Caetano; balanced 1-1. Flamengo played somewhat better (but wasted waay to many chances at 1st half), and seems to be the Rio team with best potential now. Santos and Cruzeiro was another important game, ending 3-1 to Cruzeiro (not well informed about this, but Santos is not in good form nowadays).

This is not the day for clubs in full whites... Santos 0 - 4 Palmeiras at home. This would be unbelievable two months ago. Just as Real, Santos really has gone downhill. And they think that they can solve their problems with the fool Luxemburgo, the flop Ricardinho and now (just heard on TV)...Roque Júnior! LMAO! :) :crazyboy: :kader:.

Unbelievable for Palmeiras, considering they got eliminated by Santo Andre at the Brazilian Cup. Santos doing really bad this year, they dont got defenders without Alex, and both their fullbacks arent anything special.

By the way, Santo Andre x XV Novembro de Campo Bom is a semifinal of Brazilian cup. What the...?
It was said during the game that Wagner Love is ready to go from Palmeiras. Anyone knows where is he going?

Well, Luxemburgo is a good manager. But he needs time, although signing Roque Junior wont help much...:crazyboy:
