Boots Darker Than Normal?

Has anybody else noticed that when playing in clear or overcast weather boots look much darker and therefore uglier? Yellow of the latest Nike series looks like chicken poop and all white details are grey. When playing in snow, colours are bright as they should be.

:innocent_smile_1: Its the new specular map file (Reflex).

They have decreased Red and Green value, increase them if you want them to look brighter. But it will make the boot reflect a lot (shiny), which I don`t like, I kinda like this new reflex, you can see more details on the boot if you zoom in especially the black-out boots.

I usually keep,

R=60
B=240

and change the

G=50/100/200, depending on how I want the boot to reflect.

Bootmakers can do that, but for some reason I'm not sure reflex files are the issue here as the boots look fine in daytime and snow and they definitely didn't put different boot files for each weather in the game.

What does this "Gesendet von meinem GT-N8020 mit Tapatalk 4" mean? :browsmiley:

HV Texture brightness = 50 contrast = -50

HV Reflex brightness = 50 contrast = -50

HV Bumpmap (used my pattern on it, the sole part is EA`s default bump)

This is the default RGB value on the left boot.

This is the change in RGB value. (the R and B values have gone up) on the right boot.

Sorry, I don`t have 14 to test these, so these are screens from 13.
I usually make 3/4 layers for the laces, to make it more visible.

I`m not sure about the colours on the sole, maybe I made it too bright. :innocent_smile_1:

Don`t overdo the brightness and contrast, make small changes and test them in game and pick the settings you like most.

Hope this helps.

GT-N8020 is Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Tapatalk 4 is the best forum App out there :)

For the rest, I think I'll need to wait until some tools are out :) Honestly I am not willing to spend to much time in this old-gen graphic game =) (tools to extract textures more easy)

Hey ma' friend, admitted that this method works for the matches that you play at night... (although I'm not completely sure: what you need to improve is not the opacity/sheen of the boot, but the recovery of colorways!! for example...the Nike "Volt" colorway seems "Dark green", the difference is too high LOL) the problem will recur in the games during the morning/afternoon!! :confused: I think that we should find some particular file that they've added this season :mad:
