I think there should be a standard for referees around the world. The rules should be the same everywhere.
Of course, they are, in theory. But if that was true players wouldn't have to adapt to the referees when they change countries.
For instance, in England, tackles are a part of the game fans like and they hate diving.
In South America, young talented players are thought to jump when tackled as to prolong their carreers (some players confuse this as diving, but that's not what we are talking about here) and a player who likes to tackle isn't respected (an old saying: you play football on your feet not on your butt).
