I hope our moronic following realise that Keegan is not going to bring fast flowing football over night with the bunch of hoofers we have in the team at the moment.

He'll need to replace those hoofers as soon as he can. Also it fine to have players who can use their aggression in a controlled manner, but when you have the likes of Butt, Smith and Barton who do not have control over themselves, all playing in the first team, that is like waiting for a bomb to go off in every game. Anyhow in my opinion Butt and Smith are crap. Smith was OK for a while when he was at Leeds but has been rubbish ever since. Butt has always been crap.

If Keegan gets the funding, he will rebuild from pretty much scratch I would think, so those guys are on borrowed time anyway.

Will Toon fans be more patient with Keegan? I would hope so because he will not change things overnight. I hiope he succeeds though. The majority of Toon fans deserve that.

I would call Newcastle pathetic...they appoint a new manager after every half season, but the results are the same, maybe Newcastle's weak results aren't because of the manager. We all know Big Sam and Kevin Keegan are quality managers, i would even say Souness is a good one, though he clashed with almost all the then-Newcastle "stars" like Bellamy, Laurent Robert etc..Glenn Roeder doesn't have a name like Big Sam but it's obvious even he could have produced the same winless-streak

I've always been surprised at how badly Newcastle seem to do every season, particularly because growing up, Newcastle was a pretty big name club, not Arsenal or anything like that, but you'd always expect them to challenge for the UEFA spots.

Newcastle have under-performed from times unknown....
They never fail to dissapoint every dam season.....
I think they really need a complete makeover.from the Borad to Back Room Staff and obviouslt the manager and players.......
I was just amazed to see that after losing so many games so heavilt the players and the manager had the courage to go for the Fashion show(organised by Given)....That says it all bascially.....
Meh..I have only sympathies for their fans...
