Most people here will tell you I am a huge Chiotis fan so how could I vote anything else. Frey would be second for me.

take a look at keeper Antonis Voulgaris. He was a pain to get hold of, Juventus refused to sell him for ages and then i finally got him for £6 million. He's my understudy to Barthez, but he's retiring soon i expect, so Voulgaris will become my number 1!!

He begins the game as a 19 year old at Apollon Athens and has all hidden attributes, but as you can see, he becomes very good!

Would you class this guy as a talented unknown?

not sure, i picked him up in 2005 from Juventus, where he'd been their reserve keeper for 4 years. Probably worth picking him up when he's at Apollon because he'll be less than a million, then you can just use him in the reserve team until he becomes good. He's only worth £2.5 million now on my game, but when i've played him he's not let me down.

there is only 1 good keeper in the game and that's franco COSTANZO he plays at river plate. He's very talented and not exspensive... costs i think like 1 million pounds

I don't rate Pinhero at all, i brought him and he was playing 4's every few weeks.
Chiotis is probably the best actually.
Then Challenged by Elefthropolos
Southall and Frey aren't unknowns.
Never tried Voulgarous

well since circumstances beyond my control are going to force me to restart the game soon, i'm going to snap up all the players who are big stars in my 2007 season while they are still only teenagers. Hopefully then I will have a future proof team!! Voulgaris, Davenport, Robben, Samba, probably loads of others if i look at the database! well restarting does have its advantages.

The only prblem with buying those youth players is they expect to be played occasionally.
And some of them could have random potentials meaning that they won't be as good as they were on your last game!
This has caused me many problems before on cm, what with players not being as good as in previous incarnations. Just watch some of them

Hugo is the best option for div 2 and under at his price
I always work with Chiotis since 00/01
I did try Voulgaris on 4 different teams in different leagues, he's good but not the best
Chiotis works well in all leagues, he takes a few years in Italy serie A
Franco from River takes more then a Million....Unless you cheat and become River Manager, they never never let him go for under 6.5 mil....and he blows past Dida in over all rankings from what I had.....and the best Keeper I ever had was Buffon, but some games he gets lazy, it was always smart to let him play 4 or 5 games then rest him a game or 2

well on the latest update, Voulgaris is no longer good. His potential is 80.. so i don't think i'll sign him this time around, though Man Utd youth keeper James Jowsey has a potential of 140 which isn't too bad.

So far in my quest, i have signed Callum Davenport for £1.6m rising to £2.2m, agreed terms with Millwall for Cherno Samba at £2m, offered £1m for Agahowa and offered £1m rising to £8.5m for Wayne Rooney. I've also signed 7 or 8 players to 10 year contracts to avoid all the protected contract nonsense.

i have a funny story to tell about Voulgaris, Rotherham signed him on my game. He played 4 5's in one month, and for what i only can think was a pisstake, they gave him first division player of the month I'll bet he was so demoralised! lol

I've never tried Costanzo, Hes always recommended by everyone!
Never able to get him a work permit in England though!
Thats why i chose Elefthropolous instead of him!

I'm managing Lokomotiv Moscow at the minute and right from the start Ruslan Nigmultan has been fantastic + when i started he only had a few month's left on his contract so i'd expect you could get him free if you get in quick! he's absolute quality, dont know how he rate's against any of the list cause i aint tried any of them but he consistently saves everything. Also Barry Roche at Forest is a good signing he soon kicked darren ward out of the No1 spot and was being hunted by most premiership teams after only a season.

I think for his contract to be running out after a few months into the season you have to have that league on back or foreground for that much detail!
I brought Ruslan Nigmatulan he was the only goalkeeper i brought thats got Player of the month for me!
I've never even seen a keeper get player of the month!
It wasn't enough to to garauntee him a first team i paid 13.5m for Elefthropolous hes 32 to old to sell

Ruslan is the best I reckon because on my SW game I signed him at the beginning of the season & he only let 9 goals in all season!!
