becasue their going to be too old
and a waste of money

I disagree. If you're only playing one season with a team, to build up your manager rating let us say, then you might want a good older player because you don't care about his long-term development. Also, if you have a really, really good scouting coach, you're going to get an awesome young recruit when a five-star player retires.

it does not matter what sports game i play i usually go for the best young players in the game when i can afford them, but most likely when i eventually join Man Utd or Chelsea i play a mix of young players and generic players the computer gives me to develop.... whichever works as long as i am having fun and its challenging
