I notice excellent finishing when shooting. Surely not just the shooting button is pressed? How do you guys get control before shooting?

Another thing..with pc keys, how does one do a "low chip" ...anyone know?
I know how to chip high though (Q+D)

I use shot and through pass presently (very storg shot with up arrow)
