If you can afford it BMW M3. A friend of mine owns one, he is about 1,95 m tall and says that this is the first car he really fits in. The problem is the car is so damn expensive.

I'm 1.98 m tall and i took an ordinary BMW 3 series saloon to a test drive last week, which is no different then an M3 saloon, and it is fairly spacious for me but the guy sitting behind me would suffer to fit in if he has legs.. and it's even worse with the M3 Coupe because they fitted it with sport seats which is a pain to fit in if you're a giant man.. so M3 or an ordinary 3 series is out especially if you have people to carry..

I dont like stereotypes but I think MINI is not a man's car.. get a second-hand vw phaeton.. I have been driving one with LWB lately and all I can say is, it's huge..

Golf Plus-like cars; Opel Meriva, VW Sharan, all the MPV's offer great amount of space but they sacrifice the style in return.. so they're out as well =)

I don't know how much you'd have to pay for this, but in Germany all taxi companies use Mercedes E-Klasse, you can get a used one for like 3000€ over here.

you can have great second-hand muscle cars in USA almost for nothing, cant you? they're way much cooler than a vw fox.. besides, I envy you lucky european and american bastards since I have to pay 53K in Euro for the BMW 3 series I've ordered here..

(BTW, it's a good common sense SECOND car....maybe not good as a primary car, but it would be ideal...as in, less expensive to drive... for shorter commutes.)

MINI is a fabulous car.. with all the heritage, styling, it has everything that a car needs to be described as a legend.. but I think it's gender specific.. nothing wrong for women but for men, I think it's became a car for metrosexuals.. for the man who cares too much about his hair, spends hours in tanning saloons, you know the type.. even the hot versions has something wrong..

so if my wife wants one, I'd buy it but I'd rather walk to my destination then to be seen in it..

Nah, I think the MINI is just like the Smart the perfect car for urban areas, it's small and you shouldn't have a problem find a parking lot with it.

I think the New MINI GT is a fine car for a guy, but to drive it as a convertible, or painted a pastel color, you better be a chick or a flaming homo.

The MINI is one of those cars that enjoys mass appeal, that is not necessarily specific to age or gender. If anything I've seen more guys driving it than chicks.
There's this one guy I remember who owned a 2002 Mini Cooper even though he must've weighed about 140 kg (310 pounds), one day he goes "You shoulda seen this absolute heffer I picked up on the weekend, it bloody took me a few goes to get her into the back seat, but once she was in we were going at it like a couple of horny kinky rabbits", and I'm standing there thinking, Jesus.. look at you, how massive must she have been?. That car must have been scraping the ground with the both of them in it. Now everytime I see A MINI whiz past I get the mental image of 2 hippos bonking in the back with a bunch of limbs sticking out of the sides.
