Whoever spoke of Jaoquin(sp?) brings up an excellent point. Why in the hell would Real Madrid want Beckham when they can have a much younger better player in Jaoquin. They have already expressed intrest in him; and everyone knows that Real Madrid always gets their man.

I think Chivu is still way too young. And he still loves to play with Ajax to gain more experiences. Madrid have been talking about Lucio before the WC, but the rumours then suddenly fade away, but he is still a definite target.

Paper talk has dominated the season so far mainly because there are no real transfer activities since the implementation of the transfer window.

Beckham, realistically, can leave for Real Madrid but I don't think it will happen. He really loves the club and I doubt if he would want to leave and play for another club.

Only way I can see it is if Ferguson wants him to leave, but then Fergie knows how difficult it will be to replace the England captain at the right side of midfield.

You have to remember bitch face wife. She may want the glamerous life. Hmm. Madrid, or Manchester. I know where I would want to be. Not to mention he gets flown in to a private airport. Private chaeffeur to his home e.t.c. There again, the Beckhams thrive on attention, so she may reject it. :)

Even Inter Milan have been linked with Beckham... personally I don't want him period, just like Real Madrid, why get Beckham when u can get a cheaper, younger Joaquin??? I heard Posh was in Milan checking out houses.... who knows? Hope we don't sign him, cause I can't stand his humongous paycheck... and for what really??? The shirts??? Don't get me wrong, he is good, though I rather Joaquin. Though when it comes to Real Madrid they should definately try to sign a CB as in Walter Samuel, Lucio, or Chivu... IMO Lucio would be my fav, though Samuel is a brick wall.....

He probably would have not been linked if it was not for the bootroom incident. Plus, Fergie said 4-5 players will be leaving at the end of the season. Beckham is getting no younger, nor is Giggsy. I can see Fergie bringing in two skillful young wingers, I bet Quaresma is one of them.

Beckham and Giggs still has another couple of years in them at least and so I think Ferguson wouldn't quite let them go - not just yet.

Beckham has been instrumental in a lot of United's success and although many feel that he is overrated, there is no doubting to his importance to the Red Devils.

It might be very different if he plays for another club. A lot will depend on how he fits into another system, working under another manager.

i had heard that Roberto Carlos made a public invitation to Beckham to come to Madrid and check the club out.

But like others here i also believe they need a CB, and Madrid have talked about so many players that who ever they get would be a really good choice:
