I am excited that a company has been working on a new soccer game for 2 years (I check this website many times a day for new video's and whatever). Considering they have had Konami people on their team and all the previous data from the Fifa library- the potential for putting down the base code for building - the next great footy game is enourmous. It is especially great that they have competition, unlike the Madden series.
However the first release of new code of a sports game can bring many bugs and problems. It is usually the second release in sport simulations that do the series justice. Take for example MVP baseball 2003. EA took two years to rewrite the old code when they released the game. The graphics, animation, sound were brilliant - but there were many bugs that made the game unplayable. It wasn't until 2004 that the game acheived its potential. This has happened several other times in my 20 years of gaming.
My prediction is that Fifa 07 on the 360 will have revoulutionary aspects to it. Animation, graphics, sound-- certain elements of the ball physics, but overall it won't be that different than the overall gaming experience 07 for offer for the current generation. Next year however will bring the true fruits of hard work.
I only own a PC and hope I'm wrong- I will be the first to go to buy a 360 just for this game, ---however, based on past experience I try not to get overly excited and become pleasantly surprised
ciao
