What does everyone think of Rafael van der Vaart? He seems to be on the transfer market and the price shouldn't be too high.

I know he's been crap in the recent past but he has all the tools to become a worldclass player.

We could also park him at Hamburg and buy him if he's worth it later since nearly all Bundesliga teams are our feeder clubs.

Isn't Karimi a striker? Van der Vaart is not a striker, he's more of a number 10 who operates behind the striker(s).

I'm a bit cautious after what I've heard about him being a greedy me-first player, but I think he's talented and if he doesn't cause problems Rafeal would be a buy, especially for 7 Million. And plus, he's been great in my Football Manager Bayern game.
