Who else would model our shirts?

Nah, seriously, the next months will decide his future with the club. If he doesn't vastly improve he'll be gone after the season. The current situation doesn't help any party. Podolski wants playing time, Bayern on the other hand can't give it to him and need a better third striker that can come on at any time and perform. It says a lot that when Klose's out Hitzfeld rather plays a 4-5-1 at home against a bunker defense instead of starting Poldi alongside Toni.

Spot on. Obviously the coaching staff don't rate him highly enough to be starting striker, even when Klose or Toni are out injured. I can see a possible transfer as soon as the winter break. It must be a confidence thing, because we all know the kid can play.

Yea I think it's already been mentioned, but the guy is still in the World Cup 2006 hype mentality. He still hasn't reached earth yet. We can get a much better off-the-bench player anyway, it's sad because I remember how happy I was when he signed with us. But oh well, this is Bayern, you don't perform, you're out. We saw what happened last season, half the team was sold/released.

I honestly doubted his ability since day one but he grew being a favorite of mine. Truth be told though the WC was 1 year ago and he has been less tha average lately. Injury played its part, yes but he was supposed to be the next big thing. You can't go from hero to zero that eisily. I say we loan him elswhere and if he develops give him a second shot, if he keeps playing like he is than i am sorry to say but Bayern and the NT now have options. I'd rather give more time to Schlaudraff than him at the moment. The kid from Achen seems to have more fun playing than Poldi ever did.

Again i love to see him succeed but i wouldn't gamble my teams chance to win by playing him over someone who can actually give us a better shot at winning.

WTF did my post from yesterday go? Happened with another thread too.

Anyways, what I pretty much said was that it'd be nice for the board to give Prinz Poldi a nice vote of confidence instead of saying this. He hasn't had a good chance yet. He was probably worn out a bit from the WC and adapting to the team when he joined last year and he's been injured pretty much since. It'd be stupid to give him up now. A nice loan to a decent side will do him good, he's never going to be Wayne Rooney or Torres, but he'll still be a great striker and can feature for Bayern in the coming decade.

I would not sell Poldi. Loan him out like we did with Lahm. He's still just a kid.
Lahm was 19 when he was loaned out to Stuttgart. Poldi is 22 and has been a German International since 2004.

You can't just loan him out to the likes of Hannover or Wolfsburg, that's too much of a downgrade. Bremen, Schalke, Hamburg are the only clubs he will want to go to domestically. All would welcome him with open arms but non of them would accept any sort of loan deal. If we can get the 10 million back we paid for him we should sell him.

Paolo, Tuttosport linked us with Pandev again...

Yes I know, but I hope it's all fake! He plays in Lazio::junior:(N)(6) and I don't want laziali in my team, in Italy I support Roma as u know......he's a really good striker but don't know if he could be ok with FC Bayern......:monkey:

He would fit better at Werder/Hamburg. Imagine Diego/VDV feeding him. It would be a win win situation for both those teams as well having Poldi up front.

Than i don't like Drogba. I never did anyways.

Didier Drogba??????? Worldclass player ok but not for us I think, his price is around 30-35 millions and his salary almost 7-8, we've Toni and Klose, can't imagine an attack Toni-Klose-Drogba lol!

Yah, I doubt he'd go to the Bundesliga anyways sadly. Getting Toni was a bit of what I consider a coupe specially considering we didn't qualify for CL but winning the UEFA cup and league can change that this year and maybe attract some players. Btw, what about Shlaudraff? He's an attacker, haven't seen him play. Is he injured or something?

How about selling him abroad. I don't like the idea of Poldi scoring on us every game for the next 10 years.

Drogba might be the best striker in the world in my opinion, but he's not right for us. I just don't think he can play with Toni and Klose, plus we would have to take guys out of the midfield which I definitely do not want to do.
