Uh when was Pizarro not a starter apart from his inuries? Santa Cruz was injured the whole season, Guerrero played when either Claudio or Makaay where injured or as came as a sub. Penalties or not, you can't call Ballack average he scored 18 goals in 40 games a MIDFIELDER!!!!peruytu said:You're not taking into consideration the mentality within Bayern. Makaay HAS to score all the goals (because of all the money they invested in this old guy) and Ballack is next man in line, including penalties. Hmm you have to wonder how many penalties Makaay has kicked when the actual foul was committed on Pizarro, endless. And even when Makaay didnt take those penalties, Ballack would.
Now to the numbers:
Games Played
Pizarro 23 (BL) 7 (CL) 5 (DF = 35
Ballack 27 (BL) 9 (CL) 4 (DF = 40
Goals Scored
Pizarro 11 (BL) 4 (CL) 6 (DF = 21
Ballack 13 (BL) 2 (CL) 3 (DF = 18
Now, also you DO realize that Pizarro wasn't always a starter right? So if we went by minutes, the differece would be HUGE in minutes being played.
You see how retarded was to compare both players?
This was the best signing in years, he is worth every penny of the 20M and he can play for 4,5 more years on this level because he relies more on his goal instinct than on anything else.Makaay HAS to score all the goals (because of all the money they invested in this old guy)
peruytu said:Your legend player was just about to leave for a few more pennies. You think he really cares about Bayern? Hell, when it comes to loyalty, Matthaus is number 1.. and hear me when I say this, BALLACK WILL NEVER BE MATTHAUS.
You completely missed the point you Carlos*ass. My point was that not all that money could be coming from Bayern's pockets, it could be from outside sponsorships etc. ****in read properly before jumping into the fire with your sarcastic bull****.peruytu said:Did you ever think that that money could be better spent?
-Vince- said:Maybe you want Kahn, too, as a striker?

-Vince- said:It might not the worst position for him but you can find better players to fill in that role. I expect a left midfielder to run the side up and down and to make crosses.
-Vince- said:If you have Ballack you have to play him in the middle otherwise you're wasting his talent.
Nuno79 said:It's sad that you don't understand the position. He wouldn't be a winger like Ze Roberto. He would be a CMF on the left.
Check it out....

Notice how the left is open for RC. His position would be similar to Deco's/Xavi's in Barcelona.
Sepp2in1 said:you are sure right about that.
But:
Ballacks strength is neither to be a playmaker who claims every ball nor to be a number 6 who stops every attack of the opponet (like jeremies was in his prime). [just look at ballacks biggest year in his career 2002 at leverkusen: Ramelow played behind hime as the number 6, bastürk in front of him as a number 10 behind the strikers] So Ballack doesn´t have a certain role in teh game. In every game there are phases you don´t see him at all and then he scores a important goal or makes a great pass. if he does that on a central or a left central position in the midfield is imo irrelevant.
Sepp2in1 said:yes that´s the position i thought up for ballack also
i think he´s perfect for that, especially with a RC in the back

How much do you guys think Ballack has left in his tank. He's soon to be 29. Do you think he'll be able to play at a World-Class level for 4 more years?
