I read an article that said that Boca (Argentina) wanted to put him on their team because of their..I guess 50th anniversary or something, he's playing in Quatar right now and thinking of retiring soon..

isnt he the maximum goal scorer for Argentina too?

He's the same age as Bergkamp and I don't see any Arsenal fan calling Bergkamp an old goat.

ok so ur saying Bergkamp isn't making lots of money? if the rumors were really true Batistuta would of gone to a better club. it was never serious rumors. just rumors that were BULLSH!T. Batistuta will always be my Hero. IMO one of the argentine's i respect the most (H)

Yeah sure Batistuta was great. But where the hell is he now? Bergkamp is still playing high level football and I wouldn't be suprised if he decided to hang his boots up right now considering his age.

Batistuta is the maximum goalscorer of our NT, hes playing in Qatar and he receive a few offers of teams of Argentina including Boca Jrs and San Lorenzo, its really uncertain if he will retire or not

Yes, Batigol was awesome... but not anymore. He is way past it now.

I think he should've gone at the top when he won Serie A with Roma. Since then it's been a downward slope for him. Don't get me wrong, he's still a half-decent striker at the twilight stage of his career, but he certainly wasn't the explosive goal-getter at his prime.

The player Inter took on loan and paid his wages for the remainder of the season so roma could save money and he could sit on inter's bench instead of ours

Heh, shame I only saw the latter stages of his career. He was absolute crap at WC 2002, his Roma career post-WC2002 and at Inter.

Brilliant Striker.

Our All-Time Leading Scorer

It is a shame his career is ending after the 2002 World Cup.

Gabriel Batistuta.
