bars in online mode

For some reason I cannot find out how many bars I have when I play online.
All I see is an arrow that looks like >.
I have opened a port in my wireless router but still see the same thing if anyone can help me I would be very happy.
Thanks in advance for anyone who comes up with a good suggestion.

you can see next to the player (left side) in games room after you join game of-course, four different things 1) one dot(bar) start from right to left , or 2) two bars middle bigger than right one or 3)three bars, the left one bigger than middle and the left of the middle like a dot small one,4) the last one thing that you can see is a line crossing fron one side to other means (bad connection)....

it is exactly what i mean , you check you connection with your opponent, server it is just the meeting place, nothing more!!! in my opinion of-course :rolleyes:
