Bad scripting/programming

This isnt a bug but a fault in the thinking of the programmers if they think this is how tackling is done. You can only normaly tackle away from your half and thats why someone has said you only have one chance to get it right. You see, if you are running alongside an attacker who is going toward your touchline or goal, the tackle action by the defender is away from your goal and he/she (lol, campaign for womens Fifa) is then stranded when you inevitably miss. The tackle action should be toward the ball and the way it currently is, is bad/lazy scripting. Most succesfull tackles are when you come from in front of the defender and into the ball, from toward your half.

Like PES any better, the ball in PES feels like its a balloon with absolutly no weight and it floats around, now yes, thats alot better!
Also the tacking is fine, learn how to use it properly, I have zero problems stealing the ball 75% of the time.

I agree with you people need to learn how to tackle. Its a matter of when to tackle, and that sometimes you need to just shepherd the player to where he cant make a good pass. But the though tackling is fine in most circumstances, the one I opened the thread with, all you can do is shepherd the player because if you try to make a tackle you most definately are fckoooed. I'm correct that its badly scripted, no question.

my problem is:
The conservative tackle button IS USELESS
USELESS
Unless they are right in front of you sprinting-

Otherwise you ALWAYS ALWAYS end up following the player. And if you follow the player then the conservative tackling is useless

I also got beef with the fact that in a through ball is played the defender who is on the attacker is always automatically going to the wrong direction.

Again, if you have a ps2 and you play online against paoki1920 you'll know what I mean. you can take the ball from this guy. And when I try to do it...somehow it never works. how can I keep the ball?

Tackling the CPU opponent is more difficult in FIFA06, yet maintaining possession when you have the ball is tougher. They really kicked it up a notch this year.

Ill share something with you guys, in order to have efficient tackling going on, you must do this ... its pretty easy.

While your opponent running get next to him and press "X" (PS2 for shoot/conserv. tackle) + push the arrow key/pull analog stick against the way you are running, the ball is yours ....

i've been doing that, and with great results (though it doesn't work all the time). i've manage to keep more pressure in the opponents midfield

another example of bad programing, when i'm 1 on 1 with the keeper i can never score...i try to put the ball to the far post, yet it goes wide. otherwise the keeper always saves! in fact the keepers seem to be able to save a lot of almost-impossible-to-save-shoots, and it doesn't seem to matter if the keeper has high or low skill levels...

Is it just me finding it almost unbearable to watch the cpu warming the ball before passing almost all of the time.. making all those silly movements? It's so irritating that i seriously is considering skipping fifa before i thrash my computer in frustration...

I mean it dosen't even looks or feels remotely like real football.. maybe some brasilian exibition game... but in the premierleague???

Right now i think its the most buggy and annoying fifa to date.. and some of the bugs are almost unforgivable like the ball way over the line and no goal given

No no no, you got it wrong ... you just suck, and that is a fact, why you ask ? cause I have zero problems scoring 1 on 1 against the keeper, I do miss when I aim like ****, but thats rare, so it has nothing to do with programming.
