Bad FPS With My GeForce FX5200 Card??

Hey All

I have an AMD XP 2800+ with an Albatron GeForce FX5200EP 128MB DDR, Tv-Out, DVI video card.

I am playing FIFA 2004 and trying to play on 1024X768 resolution, the framerate feels and looks slow, you can tell it is not where it should be. When running Fraps to test the frame rate I am only getting like 20fps on 1024X768.

The current drivers I have for the card are:
4.5.2.3

Has anyone got any ideas? Also how do I check if im running AGP8x or AGP 4X?

donwlaod the latest drivers. go here http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
and add RENDER_EVERY_AI_FRAME=1 in ur locale.ini file

Actually, you can add the line in the cfg_pc_h
CProgram Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 2004\data\cmn
anywhere under the "default"

My System is:

AMD AthlonXP 2600+
Gigabyte 7N400-L
PixelView GeForce 5200 128 DDR

I also have problems with my geForce FX5200 graphics card and fifa2004. The game runs very slow inside the game and the only way to play is to run it maximum at 640x480x32! I have downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia - 52.16 - but it doesn't fix the problem. Can anyone help me? I think that my system can surely play the game with a much better resolution than this..

that's seriously messed...
im running a
Athlon XP 1800+
MSI FX5600 i run the game at 1280x1024x32(**** monitor wont go higher)
i easily get the 60+ fps, ill check with fraps to see exactly how much frames i get
I think it may have to be an issue with the FX5200?

EDIT
Does fraps go beyond 60fps? cuz it keeps on playing around at the 59-60fps mark, it has to be a FX5200 issue, cuz I'm running a much slower processor and only at 4XAGP with 256ddr 400mhz

try getting 52.70 beta drivers here
it helped me out abit with the dam texture flashing i had with elite force 2
no guarantee itll fix ur problem, if it doesnt u can go back to the 52.16

Well I dont know what the heck is going on now. My framerate is up a little but now the game is like in slowmotion. The players run in slow motion, doesnt amtter the resolution, I mean I didnt change anything??

I dont know why it is doing this?!

After doing this, the game runs very slow,as VillaPride says. My problem is that there is frame hopping.. The most strange about the game is that when i play it at 1024X768X16 with low textures and then change them inside the game to high it goes perfect! But if i try to start a game directly with high textures and the same resolution i have the same problem!!!! That's strange ah?? I also find out with fraps that the frames go beyond 60fps, around 40-45 many times, so that's why the game hops. Helpppppppppppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!
