Ballard44’s FIFA 2004 roster update
As of – September 9th, 2005
Updated using DBEdit v3.2 (very cool program)
MOST IMPORTANT – I realized recently while surfing the net that these rosters were originally done by the guys @ SWEETPATCH. I mentioned earlier that I thought they might have been Mutigers.
So, credit MUST be given to SWEETPATCH and anyone else who helped in their original roster update from a year ago!!!
Also, I added some new files to this download. I included updated logos for the RoW clubs that were changed, which includes the team selection logo and TV popup logos. The guys @ SWEETPATCH did almost all of this work.
All I did was update the teams, some of the logos and added CSKA Moscow myself.
ALL credit must be given to SWEETPATCH for these clubs.
1st, back up your files!!!
copy and paste the fifa.db and eng.db into the correct folder
To use the graphics just copy and paste the 50, 61, and 76.big file into the …data/gui/team folder.
To add the .fsh files you need BigGUI. Open zdata_05.big and ‘import’ the correct files over the original .fsh files. ‘Compress’ after you import.
If the team TV popups are not showing in-game, reopen zdata_05.big and make sure the files were compressed or re-import the team file that’s not working and test again.
There’s also a new italy.trm file. Make sure you import this if you play the league.
Copy and paste into …data/cmn/fe.
Same w/ the england.trm
Remember to start a NEW career if you use these files…delete (or save them somewhere else) all your saved ‘career’ files, too, so that your rosters don’t ‘double’ up
Leagues/Teams that were already updated or have been updated recently
1) EPL, Coca-Cola Championship, C-C League 1
2) German Bundesliga 1
3) French LFP 1
4) Spanish Primera
5) Italian Serie A
6) Dutch Eredivisie
7) Scottish PL
8) Portuguese SuperLiga
9) All the Rest of World (RoW) clubs
10) Top 5 or 6 teams from all the remaining European leagues
11) I did not attempt to redo the 2nd divisions of the other 4 ‘big’ leagues. The team rosters for those clubs might be a little messy
Work that was done and notes –
1) Hundreds of player transferred since my last update.
2) Correct jersey numbers for 95% of the players according to team websites, with…
3) Players wearing jersey #’s 50-59
a) = players who more then likely play for that club
b) = players whose team websites didn’t have the players # yet
4) Players wearing jersey #’s 80-99
a) = players who more then likely DO NOT play for that club anymore
b) = players who did play for them this past season, but whose contracts have been or will be terminated
c) NOTE - there are a few players who actually use the #’s 80-99, but very few
5) All teams mentioned above had their starting lineups re-adjusted w/ the best players (according to value) starting
6) All leagues have the correct promotions and relegations for the 05/06 season.
7) The Italian Serie A has been upgraded to 20 clubs like in RL!!!! Serie B now has just 18. Make sure you use the new Italy.trm file or things will get messy!!!
8) I adjusted 100’s of players values (especially younger talent) trying to match their FIFA 05 values…I spent 95% of this time making players better and rarely lowered a players value
9) Corrected the in-game terminology of the UEFA Champion’s League, UEFA Cup, and some of the League Cup’s…so, no more ECC crap J
Things that I didn’t or won’t do in the future –
1) create any new players…way too much work and hassle
2) correct any of the 2nd division clubs as I mentioned earlier
Future requests, updates, and notes –
1) NONE…this is my final update for FIFA 2004 ANYONE else who wants to use these rosters to update for future transfers can freely do it. Please give me some credit if you do. I’ve put too much time into this to have someone take all the credit from me and SWEETPATCH!!!
2) Are there any mistakes???? YES!!! I’m sure there are a few #’s wrong and such, so fix it yourself!!! lol
Finally – HAVE FUN!!!! I hope all that use this (all 5 of us who still play ’04) will enjoy

up next, an update on my World Cup that will have 64 national teams in it!!!!!!
