So the EA Canada team is responsible for FIFA 2005 correct? Why then, couldn't they have included the Canadian National team?! Ok I know we suck, but it's still nice to play as your own country, and considering as the development team was Canadian I figured a little bias was completely in order :)

Is it because of licencing issues, as with Holland, or is it just because we're garbage and nobody cares?

i think is because you are garbage and nobody cares, because right know the Canadian national team are struggling in the WC
qualifiers and losing to small teams such as Trinidad and Tobago 4-0.

Actually, now that I think about it, in NHL 2005, we put up with all the crap hockey teams when our National team could likely slaughter each and everyone one of them by scores of 5-0 or more... so why not give us the same honour and let Canada into FIFA to get wrecked by countries like... well everyone.

I think the both, Canada isn't a Soccer land, so it won't make very much difference for EA to buy the Canada license..

Knowing Canada, they probably pay EA to TAKE the licence <sigh>.

I guess maybe they included us in previous games like Fifa2000 (I'm quite sure Canada was there...) but there wasn't enough demand.

FIFA 2000 had plenty of national teams. I remember Singapore was there, all the wrong names and wrong faces.

Cnada is out of the qualifiers already. They lost to Costa Rica 3-1 in Canada which got hem out of competition.

Canada had maybe 28-30 players in various team rosters in Fifa 2004... that made it easy for editors (who cared) to create a Canada MNT - but sadly, in Fifa 2005 that number has been cut to about 15... :( and there are a lot of people who would like to play with a Canada team in Fifa... we can't all cheer for Man U, Arsenal, England and Brazil. On a brighter note, I was able to replace Hungary with Jamaica, since I had a full squad plus players I chose not to use... all represented in the database of FIfa 2005.

Yeah, we are out of the WC qualifying, but it is due to some very poor refereeing, joke calls.
What's funny is our women do way better than the men
