Attacking Corners

Just wondering what we all do with them. I've noticed that if you do very little, the computer puts most of your good headers on the edge of the box, but they never seem to run in.

Do most leave it as this or get a few challenging the keeper etc?

Post screenies or say what you get people to do, e.g. "best header at back post"

Just interested as i doubt i have mine setup properly.

I never score many goals from corners but I keep the 2 full backs to stay behind, the strikers and centre defenders i make stay close to the goal, and the rest I have challanging the keeper, coming in from deep, outside the box etc...

There's a cheating tactic where you leave your striker stand outside the box and the rest of your team standing on the posts. This will attract the other team's players with them leaving your striker perfectly free to net one in. It works well, but you'll be a bit vulnerable at counters with this tactic.

Just like Horatiu said. I have the striker attacking first post, and both central defenders at the 2nd. both full-backs behind, 1 player outside the box for long range...and the rest near the penalty 11 meter zone...

yeh i reckon Johnny and horatiu have the best idea. I'm just wondering if anyone has come up with something a bit more interesting, along the lines of what Max said.

Like someone who actually throws the full backs forward :p

no i meant keep a midfielder back.

I usually change the "automatic" defensive situation, where they have too many players back in my opinion.

I can tell you, the odds of conceding after attacking a corner are not the small. I can remember of three situations where I got sliced open after a poor corner. I had three players back as well. :(

I actually score around 5/6 goals per season after I'm defending a corner, and most of them are against bigger teams. I just put the attacker (which is quite fast, Quavas Kirk) and the fastest winger I have (Alex or Gasbarroni) in front, not defending the corner. Defense clears, somehow one of them gets the ball, passes to the other. Goal. =)

I usually do this. I scored 5/6 goals from corners in a game once.
