ATI Radeon 9600 Pro

I'm thinking of buying a new graphics card so I can get better and smoother graphics in my games.

I was wondering if anyone hear has had any experience of this and whether it's good, or whether there are any better cards for somewhere up to £100-£120?

goto Overclockers.co.uk and look at the prices for the 9800 Pro.

They are pretty cheap these days and are great cards.


9800 Pros cost less than 200$ here in the US.

I'm after a 256mb one as my current Nvidia card is 1 28mb one. the 256mb seem to be extremely pricey in the UK

theres no difference in performance between 128 and 256... in fact in many cases the 256 mb one is slower.

That is a fantastic deal- one of the best gfx cards on the market. Don't bother getting a 256mb one. As Ice said there is really no difference. And you won't be getting a good 256mb one for £120.

What's the rest of you're system's spec btw?

2.26Ghz, quite a bit of RAM (over half a gig).

I'm wanting a 256MB one for the future.

Well i think that 256 are same with 128 because games are not yet designed for 256mb.

P.S DAMN a 9800PRO in greece cost about 340 Euro plus 18% taxes
